Virgin Beach Resort

We had a pleasant stay at this resort as we had the beach to ourselves when we went. Even if most rooms were booked, the place was never crowded. This is one place that still looks like a real beach resort, versus others in the area which have more buildings than beach. We liked that the day trippers are confined to a separate area from overnight guests so the place remained quiet and relaxing. We also liked the feeling of exclusivity, with all rooms facing the beach and you can use the cabanas near the rooms as well. Facilities and rooms including bathrooms are clean. The beach has fine, clean sand and the water is clean. The only things to improve are the weak water pressure in the shower, and the quality of the food which was mediocre. Since in-house meals are mandatory, they should make an effort to provide fantastic food at least. The portable swimming pool is allocated for day trippers and is hard to access for overnight guests. With the resort's premium rates, they should add a swimming pool (a real one) for overnight guests. Also, the front desk folks should be trained better to issue an official receipt without being asked. Overall, it was a nice, relaxing stay.

It is with deep regret that I find myself compelled to articulate a critique regarding our recent visit to Virgin Beach Resort, marking a stark contrast to our previously enjoyable experiences over more than five instances of patronage. Our visit on March 30, 2024, diverged significantly from the high standards we had come to expect. Historically, the allure of Virgin Beach Resort was its serene ambiance, distinct from the congestion typical of alternative beach destinations. This was complemented by the adequacy of dining space, even during peak attendance. Regrettably, our last visit was marred by an apparent oversight in reservations, as we encountered a full dining area despite prior booking. The staff's response suggested a first-come, first-serve policy, raising questions about the efficacy of advanced bookings for a group of seven. Particularly concerning was the resort's capacity management. As senior citizens with mobility issues, my parents faced undue hardship accessing the buffet, reminiscent of queues seen in emergency food distribution rather than a reputed high-end resort. This overbooking also compromised the quality and availability of food, a stark deviation from the previously high culinary standards. The diminished portion sizes and substandard preparation were not reflective of the premium pricing. In past visits, the diversity and quality of the food offered were highlights of our stay. This experience, however, left us feeling as though we were at a considerably lesser establishment, far removed from the "Virgin Beach Experience" we had cherished. The impression given was that the resort prioritized maximizing occupancy over maintaining quality and comfort during peak season. This short-term approach to capacity and dining management not only detracts from the exclusivity and appeal of the resort but also risks diminishing its reputation. It is with a very heavy heart that I convey these observations, hopeful that they will prompt Virgin Beach Resort to revisit and realign its operational and customer service strategies to uphold the high standards it professes. The essence of the "Virgin Beach" experience seems compromised, warranting introspection on the resort's part to ensure the name it bears continues to epitomize purity, cleanliness, and the unspoiled beauty it once guaranteed.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this tranquil and spacious resort. It's perfect for families, with a short walk to the beach, cozy casitas, and very accommodating staff. The food was excellent, and we're extremely satisfied with our full board experience. I highly recommend this resort and hope to visit again in the future.

Heads up that this resort does not provide PWD discount for room rates, they just honor it for meals. Stayed at louver room, quite dark, no tv. Internet is ok. Sometimes no hot water, or the water itself runs out. Restaurant staff is unattentive as they forgot to return my PWD card and realized that when we were on my way back to Manila. They admitted it was their lapse. Super hassle

Facilities and Safety are commendable. However the water pressurr in thr shower rooms are too low. Besides little item i.e plate that breaks due wild cats around is being charged to the guest condidering their room rates are expensive that could cover all the little incidents.

We were there today, family of 10. Weather wasn't cooperating but that is nobody can do anything about it. Visually place is ok. But let's talk about people working there. We hired banana boat. Unfortunately boat capsized in the middle of the trip. We ended up in the water. The people employed there lack knowledge on how to prepare for a rescue. It took a while when second boat came and only because they were passing not far from us. Despite some of us not being able to swim, we remained cool. After several minutes in water slowly we ended up on banana boat back and were brought back to shore. Guy who took us to boat , after coming to shore he took the payment and run away. There was no single person from resort coming to us and ask simple question if we were ok. Nothing. They are not interested in wellbeing of customer. If you don't want to die, please do not go there as staff is not competent for any rescue and they don't care on what happen to the people. It's so upsetting.

I had a wonderful stay at this resort. The staff is very friendly and Everyone is willing to help you, especially the Resort Operations Manager, Peter T. Lumba who is very friendly to guests. The food is delicious and impressive, and the location is so tranquil that you can probably unwind and disconnect from social media 😂. There is also a play area for kids to enjoy, and this resort is pet-friendly, so you can bring your pets as well. The room is spotless and very pleasant to the environment. My family and I had a wonderful time at this resort, and I will probably recommend it to everyone. likely will return to this resort again ❤️

I stayed here with my mom and it was a very ni e experience.It was not raining at all since we got there and left,thank God because it has been raining from we’re we came from and some other places because of the monsoon brought about by the typhoon Falcon. It was sunny when we got to Laiya. The resort was well maintained and all the staff were courteous. The board meals were the best. I also loved how organized they were in putting names of the lead guest in every table at the restaurant so that every meal you’ll be staying on the same table every time. Also with the parking area, there’s a slot for every accommodation. It makes me feel VIP .Well, I think every guest deserves it considering the rates of the room and the complete board meals (lunch dinner breakfast) per guest that costs 2,100. What was kinda disappointing is the extra bed that comes with the extra person rate for the room that we accommodated. It was only good for 4 pax so we had to pay 1,500 for the additional person and still had to pay 2,100 for the meals which was acceptable.The only thing that was not is the extra bed which actually is just an extra mattress. For me 1,500 was too much,considering that the extra person would be lying on the floor on a mattress. Anyway, everything else was good. Shoreline was clean, not white sand but that’s ok. There was a mini pool without water and it could only accommodate like 4 adults but won’t really be able to swim in it. Overall experience was good
