Azul Paradise Resort

I stayed 4 nights at Azul Paradise and can’t say enough about the staff… Jordano was attentive and made sure that everything was taken care of, Chef Cheppe took great care of us (given my friend has a severe nut allergy and I’m vegan), Orlando and everyone serving at the restaurant were amazing, and Eddie made sure we got from the airport to the dock in Bocas Town and back. The water is clear and warm and great for taking out the kayaks or paddle boards… it’s a beautiful secluded side of the island so is quiet and calm. Panama is HOT and humid, and the AC is only available at night but it was fine at night with the fans. Also the wifi isn’t reliable or strong enough for working so best to just unplug, unwind and enjoy!

This was my first trip to Panama as well as Bocas del Toro, and while I typically have a strict "never visit the same place twice" mentality (gotta see the world in this lifetime, yknow) I would 100% return to this resort. The island is beautiful, the amenities are spot on, meals delicious and carefully crafted, but most of all, the employees became like family over the week we spent here. Every single server, bartender, chef, everyone was so accommodating, to the point we now call many of them friends. I couldn't have had a better time, always something to do or learn or see. Sunsets here are unparalleled, do catch one sometime!

Beautiful bungalows, as pictured, for a fun stay with friends! The grounds were relaxing and we enjoyed swimming in the warm, calm waters. The bed was large and comfortable. Until I have the time/funds to get to the over-water bungalows in Bora Bora, this was second best!!

Very outdated Family Bungalow! Way overpriced! Price is for a 5 star luxury hotel, whilst this one is backpacking level! Looks like no maintenance for last 10 years. Place looks very deserted and no ambience in bar and restaurant. The assistant manager is very nice (just joined 4 months), but the other staff has very little feel for customer service. Service is really really poor. The food was luckily okay-ish. The activities were nice but also incredible expensive! Conclusion: It was quite a nigh**are, and we stayed for 3 nights but could not wait to get out of the place…..

The hotel is very nice with a potential of being outstanding! Quiet , the rooms were clean the staff was warm and extremely friendly! It does need a bit of work in some areas, but I will definitely comeback and recommend to my friends and family

After spending almost $500 per night they still refuse to turn the air conditioning on. They made us wait on a dock for almost three hours to combine us with another couple arriving later in the day. The 45 minute boat ride was in a driving rain storm with a boat with no roof. They said AC would be on from 6 pm to 10 am but that was a lie. The reason they give for all this subhuman trea**ent was they need to ration fuel. Five hundred dollars a day doesn’t pay for their fuel?! If you own this business please contact us immediately. We are staying in overwater bungalow #7 and are so upset we want to bring a lawsuit against these crooks.

Some how; the place do not promise a lot but allthough we were expecting more. But do’nt! This is certainly not Maldives or anything close to. If you like wild dogs pissing on the furnitures and plumed water next to the shore (all 3 days we were there) then go 😏

This place is amazing!! Nature, excellent people, great knowledge about the area, everyone was so kind! Ricardo, Heriberto, Calixto, Alberto, lsael, Jordano, Abi, and the rest of the staff...thank you a lot for dedicating your time and great service with us!

If you want a wonderful experience complete with exotic animals on land and sea, with the most amazing people and best food, you have to visit Azul Paradise!! We stayed in the Deluxe Bungalow and it was amazing. We had the best view of the ocean and sunrise every day. From our bungalow we saw lion fish, puffer fish, a nurse shark, some small sting rays, and an abundance of fish. We also chose to do several excursions through the resort — Monkey Island, Sloth Creek, Snorkeling in Secret Lagoon, Zapatilla Island, and the baby Turtle release and I tell you, we would do all of these experiences again!!! I absolutely loved seeing all the different animals. And let’s talk about the amazing food. The chef works really hard to provide their guests with not only a wonderful variety of choices, but also fresh fish locals options for you to try. Some things stayed the same on the menu, but every evening there was at least one new item for us to try. By the third day, I just let the chef pick my dinner for me because I knew he would prepare me a wonderful menu!! I wish I would have done that from the beginning!!! Alright, so it is an eco resort and they only run the air conditioner in the evening times. But it is wonderful to open up all the doors and windows and have the breeze through the day. But here are my tips for making it a comfortable stay: Bring your own small toiletries; ie, shampoo, body wash (or bar soap), conditioner. They provide you with an eco starter kit but that wasn’t for us. Also, pack a small fan. it was nice to have our own fan throughout the day just for some air movement for the bathroom and such. I would highly recommend going to Azul Paradise and we would definitely visit again!!
