Nơi này thật tuyệt vời! Phòng mới, hiện đại, sạch sẽ và giường rất thoải mái. Tuy nhiên, có một chút rào cản ngôn ngữ (nhân viên không nói được tiếng Anh), tuy nhiên, nhân viên đã rất nhiệt tình hỗ trợ và sẵn lòng sử dụng ứng dụng phiên dịch để giao tiếp. Vị trí nằm n*** bên ngoài phố cổ, rất tiện lợi. Tất cả các vé miễn phí được quảng cáo kèm theo phòng đều có sẵn đúng như quảng cáo. Bữa sáng miễn phí được mang thẳng đến phòng đúng giờ tôi muốn và thật tuyệt vời! Tôi chưa từng đến đây trước đây, nhưng giờ đây tôi rất mong được ở lại đây vào năm sau!

服務周到細緻，表揚古城姜文靜工作人員，住宿期間能微信提供遊玩路線，告知注意事項。也表揚酒店其他工作人員，耐心細緻，還給安排了泉秀內場票，酒店離古城入口200米左右，風景不錯，有種“烏鎮”北方版的感覺。酒店停車也超級方便，住宿還免停車費，另外，除酒店下面的停車場外，門口路對面的停車場超級超級大，還有充電樁。

I found what looked like an engorged tick or bedbug crawling up my bed. The hotel is pretty and I booked it for 1 night as a luxury treat so I could get a good rest for my layover stop to another destination. My room smelt like stale smoke unfortunately, though I had asked for non-smoking. I paid extra on my booking for breakfast and had to wake up at 6am, eat breakfast at 6.30am and go to the airport at 7.20am. My room had a bathtub so I took a bath before bedtime and went to bed at midnight, I got up to go switch the lamp off at 1am and found this bug crawling up the side of my bed going towards me. I think it's either a tick or a bed bug, the body was full of blood. It had 6 or 8 legs, difficult to see but I took a video which doesn't allow me to upload. I don't have any problems with normal bugs such as spiders, but if it is a tick or bedbug it is a big problem. I was really worried there were more hiding inside the bed, I called reception for help and they looked at the bug which I caught in a glass cup. They apologised deeply and changed my room, so I had to move at 1.30am. I explained I was already tired and have to wake up early. In the new room I was unable to sleep as I kept worrying about bed bugs. I got up multiple times to check my bed. And there was a noisy couple next door talking loudly until very late so I couldn't sleep. For a luxury hotel you should not need to loose a whole night's sleep because you are worried about bedbugs or ticks biting you. Nor should be able to hear noise from other guests through the wall. I was extremely exhausted the next day and did not have any appetite. I asked if they could refund the extra I paid for breakfast because I couldn't eat it, but they said it wasn't possible. So I forced myself to try eat 1 egg and some small rice porridge but couldn't finish it. Really expensive to pay for breakfast and hardly eat, it's a shame they couldn't refund the breakfast considering I had no sleep. For a 5* hotel, I would like to have good rest and peaceful sleep. But it was not like that. The staff were very kind and helpful, but it's not so easy to travel here alone. It was not easy to book a taxi for the following morning to the airport and it took 40 minutes of assistance, the man was very kind and helpful, but the hotel should make an easier system for foreign guests to book taxi. When I first arrived in Jinan airport, I had no idea how to get to the hotel. There is no ATM inside the hotel so you cannot withdraw cash, and you cannot pay with foreign card to book a taxi. The shangri-la website did not provide any details for public transport. It simply said bus transfer was available but did not say which number bus. I would give the details here but I have forgotten the route name and bus number now as it was hectic and I was very tired, sorry. I had to waste a lot of time trying to ask for help at the airport as the staff did not speak English. Luckily someone helped me. The bus will cost 20yuan and take you into the centre where you will see the intercontinental hotel and a large shopping mall on the left side of the bus, get off at that stop, it takes 1 hour. From there it's only 5 minutes walk to shangri-la. For a big hotel they should provide easy instructions on the website to guests. The staff apologised deeply for the bug on the bed, and offered 10% reduction of the room rate. Although when I checked out no refund was given and they didn't mention anything about it, I think they just charged full price. Personally I think 10% is not enough anyway. Nobody wants to change rooms at 1.30am because of bugs crawling on the bed. I didn't get any sleep at all and felt itchy because I kept thinking about bugs and couldn't eat the breakfast. I was absolutely exhausted the following day so I was unable to do anything at my next destination and had to waste 1 day more to rest. Unfortunately not an easy experience at the shangri-la.

Reception service is reasonably good, fast check-in, staff are friendly but speaks very basic English, hood enough by China standards. Stayed in the same hotel during opening a year ago, the room condition has since deteriorated but kept decently clean by very hardworking housekeeping staff. Hotel does not have any facilities hence nothing to comment. I stayed for 9 days this time round and the breakfast menu hardly changed throughout, bored with the same offerings after 2 days. Restaurant is very short staffed, with the same lady manning the noodle station & eggs station is also clearing tables. Only 1 staff handling the entire restaurant at most time. Perhaps due to competitive pricing offered, expect to encounter some low end guests with very uncultured behavior. Overall, it's a decent stay and good value for money.

Nhưng chắc chắn không nên chọn phòng hướng ra hồ—rất ồn ào từ đường/cách âm kém, và dù sao thì bạn cũng không thể nhìn thấy hồ vì có nhiều cây cối và độ cao thấp. Nhân viên đã tử tế chuyển tôi đến một phòng bên trong khác yên tĩnh hơn nhiều. Tiện nghi ở mức trung bình (phòng tập thể dục rất nhỏ, máy lạnh/ống nước hơi ồn). Nhìn chung, tôi sẽ ở lại nếu bạn muốn có bối cảnh đẹp/một thứ gì đó khác biệt so với một khách sạn chuỗi thông thường, nhưng nếu quan tâm hơn đến sự thoải mái, có thể tìm được nơi tốt hơn với cùng mức giá ở nơi khác
