Pirin River Ski, Fun and Family

From our initial trip planning to the stay at the hotel, Katarina and the team were first class. The team are friendly, highly organised, and considerate. The hotel is warm and cosy. The food is tasty. The spa is well managed. Communication before and during the stay was at the highest level. I give this hotel 6 out of 5.

We loved our stay at Hotel Pirin River Ski and Spa! One of the nicest hotels I have ever been to and perfect for a ski holiday. Katarina is the best host you could ever ask for and her staff are lovely. All of them are very friendly, speak great English and are always looking out for you making sure you are enjoying your stay. Location is perfect, breakfast is great, spa is nice, rooms have everything you need, ski hire was seamless and the shuttle driver ensures you can painlessly get to and from the gondola. All at a very fair price. The best part was their cocktails, a brilliant variety all very unique and delicious, especially Katarina's special margarita recipe. There is honestly no catch to staying here, it is pretty much perfect! We will definitely stay here again if we come back to Bansko.

It is one of the locations you can feel like home. The main reason we are choosing this year over year is the way the whole team is doing everything for you to experience the best holiday time. From the online booking, the welcoming experience, the everyday bus to the gondola to the very interesting late night discussion at the bar, you can be sure you will have the most of your ski time.

Pirin river was the best stay in Bansko we could have imagined. Hosts made us feel at home and helped us fulfill all our needs. Rooms were clean and breakfast was nice too. Location was 7minutes walk to the old centre, easy to walk in the evenings. Hotel offered free transfer to and from the gondola which made it super easy for us. Spa services were good (warm indoor swimming pool, sauna and steamroom) and easily used. Would definitely recommend it and visit again without a second thought. Thank you for your hospitality!

We have just returned from our third family ski holiday at Pirin River, and yet again, have nothing but positive things to say. As soon as you arrive at Sofia airport, Georgi is there waiting to collect you, and within 2 hours you are with Katarina and her team sipping welcome cocktails. Ultimately the reason we keep going back to Pirin River is because everything is taken care of: ski hire, VIP lift passes, ski lessons, and a minibus that takes and collects you from the main lift - I don’t think we ever had to wait more than five minutes. The food at the buffet breakfast and dinner is plentiful, kid friendly, and tastes great too - so much so that we didn’t need to venture out anywhere else. The rooms are huge with great self-catering facilities, the beds are comfy, and the little touches from the house-keeping team make the whole experience five star. If you’re a serious skier and looking for challenging blacks and reds, then there are of course better destinations than Bansko. But, if you’re looking for a family ski holiday, particularly with young children, then with Bansko’s long ‘ski road’, and the exceptional service you will receive from Katarina and her staff, we cannot recommend Pirin River highly enough. We will certainly be booking again and wouldn’t bother to look elsewhere.

Visited with family. Fantastic hosts, that make you feel special. Very clean, warm and spacious rooms. Warm pool that you can stay and play with kids all they long. Nice breakfast. We do not ski, however while socializing with the rest of the guests learned that the ski services the hotel provides are also great. 5 min walk from the old town. I do not think there is a better place to stay in Bansko!
