"This hotel is definitely not a 4 star, it may have been in the past but this is not the case anymore. However we did not expect a 4star hotel either way especially for the price we gave. Room was clean breakfast and dinner was good and the pool was okay. Nothing to blow you out of your mind. The only bad thing was the mattress of the bed. It was really hard and I barely got any sleep but this may be a personal preference. Don’t expect anything too much."

"We was staying at Lucky Bansko at December and our family also and other clients of the hotel had alot of dramatic problems and complains about worst condition of rooms,smells of smoke,water heat and preasure also cold rooms with worst old window frame wich does not protect any wind at all. For few hours nearly everyday we was staying without hot water plus no preasure so you could not take shower when you want and we use to stay in bed condition for hours there is no compensation from the side of the hotel managament. Also rooms are without towels and bathropes you need to request as laundry does not have enought time to wash and prepair for others guest after check in check out we saw other guest was waitinf hours to be checked in becouse there rooms are still dirty check in time by policy of the hotel was 15:00pm and they stay until 19:00 on lobby to wait amazing 5 stars experience. As we hear from other guest of the hotel they complain for alot of things everyhour you could see guests on reception complain for room problems very often. We could not recommend this 5 Star Hotel to anyone its completly out of management and quality price overhelming for the service and quality!!!! We not gone repeat Bansko again!!!"

"I see lots of reviews here that are quite positive, but either the standards in Bulgaria for 4* hotels are much lower than in the rest of Western Europe, USA, Australia or this isn't a 4* hotel. As advertised, it has some of the amenities of a 4* hotel, including a pool, jacuzzi (not working), hair dryers and bar fridge in the rooms (mine didn't work) but the standard just isn't there - a lot of things are dirty, broken, the linens are cheap, there is mouldy silicone in the shower, there were dirty lampshades that didn't fit the lamps. I was just here for a few nights, so no big loss - originally I had booked a 5* up near the gondola but that was too far from restaurants so I had settled on this because it is in the middle of town and I didn't have time to do a lot of research. Good thing this place is centrally located because restaurant at the hotel is pretty boring and not great quality - food is greasy, few vegetables, no spicing (but this is true of a lot of Bulgarian food anyway). I ate there for breakfast and one dinner, rest of the time went out as first impressions didn't make me keen to stay in. I think it gets a heavy use by school groups, package tourists from UK. You can get an apartment or boutique hotel for a similar price."

"Great hotel in a good location - five minute walk to lifts and close to bars and restaurants in the evening. Rooms were basic / no frills but comfortable. Food was amazing and the chef doing eggs at breakfast was a winner for me. Liked that breakfast started at 7, so you still had time to change into ski gear and get on an early lift. Staff friendly. What stands out of this hotel, is the spa facilities - pool area is warm and inviting, perfect place to relax. Spa services were fabulous and reasonably priced. Bar and public areas nice, too. Ski storage and ski hire on site. Reception extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely return."

"Had a lovely stay once again in Belvedere. The apartment was clean, spacious and comfortable. It was serviced daily. Perhaps the housekeeper was a bit over zealous about towels etc! The Reception staff this time were much friendlier and accommodating than previously. The outside pool area is as nice as anywhere I’ve been, with very clean, clear water, a picturesque panorama and pleasant ambience. You can swim up to the pool bar which is fun. The outdoor staff were friendly and efficient. Afternoon snacks from the restaurant were good quality and cheap. Overall I’d recommend Belvedere. It is well located in the town of Bansko within walking distance of the town centre and very close to supermarkets and the gondola. It has magnificent views of the Pirin Mountains.A trip up in the cable car is an enjoyable visit, even in summer. Weather ranged from cool to very pleasantly warm."
