Outstanding good service, nice breakfast in a very comfortable villa with own small swimming pool

Facility was good

A mature aged couple stayed in villa “ F” for 7 days. This is good accommodation. The living room and kitchen are separate from the bedroom and large bathroom that includes free standing bath. It is an older style but good design. It has access to the beach through the markets. There is a TV in both the living broom and the bathroom but it is limited to local Indonesian channels but has access to Netflix, Prime and YouTube. We did not experience any noise from the street and only one occasion when a band played loudly for 1/2 hour for a special event on the beach. Every house within 5 kilometres would have heard. Would we stay here again? Yes.

We stayed 8 nights in Villa F. It was a great mix of shade and sun so the private pool was lovely. Accomodation is older style (and as others have said - shower pressure and water quality is terrible) but it had everything we needed and lovely staff. You do have to walk through the market to get to the beach and as others have said you get a bit of hassle and occasional rudeness - ignoring them or saying no thanks once seems to do the trick. It does feel dark and sketchy at night in that market so if I was a female travelling alone I would enter through the front after dark. We would return!

The villa was huge and provided exceptional value. The pool temperature was just right, and the WiFi worked very well. Through the back entrance, you can enter the seaside clothing and souvenir market directly, and it takes only about 2 minutes to walk to the beach and the seaside restaurants and cafes. One service that surprised me was that they made breakfast in the villa, using the villa kitchenette! Wow, talk about personalised service! One little detail I would like to ask for is indoor slippers. But that is a minor point. All in all, an excellent stay.

Returned to Ajanta Villas after 6 years. The good: Fantastic location being on the main street with exclusive access to the beach walk through the market. Market holders are lovely once you tell them you are staying at Ajanta they stop bothering you when you pass. I was concerned about the Icon building being noisy but it was rare we heard it. The odd tapping noise during the day was fine. Staff nice and organised airport transfer. Pay on arrival. Great sized swimming pool and private. It was great to have unlimited water and was the only accommodation in our 4 centre stay that provided this to us. Could be better: Quoted one price via Facebook messenger another when confirming through email. Didn't bother to chase up as it would have been difficult for them after the pandemic and thought it would be the same inclusions as our previous stay. We should have been staying in June 2020 and the cost had gone up 1000k per night which was a shock. No longer breakfast included and prepared in villa. No longer afternoon cocktails and snack or turn down service and snack. No driver available for short trips within Sanur anymore. Summary - nice enough. Would stay again if price and availability felt right. Wouldn't necessarily recommend to friends unless they were aware of dated feel and slip to 3 star from 4.
