Balgal Beach Units

Lovely quiet spot close to the beach. Beautiful gardens and pool area. The room is very comfortable with everything you need. Comfy bed and our host Peter was so friendly. The beach is right off the property. Only a few minutes drive to Rollingstone pub.

January 2023 my brothers and I stayed at Balgal Beach Units so we could attend a family memorial. The units were a great size, air con and fans were a life saver. Great to have full kitchen facilities though most days we used the immaculate BBQs, where we spend all our free time and in the pool. One of the cleanest pools ive seen for a long time. Peter the owner knew our circumstances and couldn't have been a better host. He offered to drop of us when we need to be places and was always up for a friendly chat .He knew us all by name and made sure every day he stopped to say hello and the day we were leaving he came and said goodbye to us and offered to give us extended checkout time as we had late flights. So anyone travelling around North Qeensland and need an overnight stay or even longer, i strongly recommend these units.

Great stay out of the way, generous main room plus single bed in generous living area. Handy bedroom USB charging ports. Great kitchen provisions. Wifi works but not strong. Very small Tv for 2022, and USB socket located rear of the tv for movies/music was difficult to get to with the TV tied with string to the wall. The 2 lounge chairs provided were beyond use due to sunken seats. Good airconditioning. Lovely gardens with pool and surrounds backing onto the treelined beach, altho not viewable from units. Overall internally spacious, tidy, clean and generally accommodating although dated. The fresh paint keeps it nice. A mosquito area, a few were located inside. Good size fun place for young ones it seems. I was comfortable and would stay again.

We stayed three nights in a very comfortable and spacious unit. Roomy, great king bed, excellent kitchen and spotlessly clean. While it has a very 70s vibe but everything worked perfectly. We had a BBQ two nights, using the brand new BBQs next to the pool, and the other night walked 30 minutes along the beach to get excellent fish and chips at Fisherman’s Landing (check their opening hours). We drove one day up to Paluma for some lovely walks in the cooler climate.
