The Gosau ski area, within the Dachstein West ski region, is just a 25-minute drive away. There is a free ski bus that stops one km away from the house. Alpenwiesen lies on 1 of many walking routes in and around Bad Ischl which lead up to the mountains and through fields and woods. Wolfgangsee, Hallstatt and the Dachsteinwest ski area can all be reached by car within 25 minutes.
