Cappadocia Gamirasu Cave Hotel

We stayed here for 2 nights on a tour of Cappadocia. I can't express how lovely and unique this hotel is. We had a cave room with a king bed and a nice bathroom. The bed was so comfortable and the room was spacious. A generous breakfast is included with the room and it had a large array of delicious choices. Given the time of year, we didn't use the pool or other facilities. We did eat dinner at the onsite restaurant one of the nights and it was sooooo good. Very impressive for a hotel dinner. If you visit Cappadocia, I would highly recommend this hotel!

A uniquely, interesting experience we had staying at the cave hotel. It was raining and cold that day, but the room was cosy and comfortable with large toilet. It was a pity we could not spend more time to enjoy the facilities of the hotel. I opined it could have been a hotel worth visiting in spring.

The best hotel experience we have ever had. The place is phenomenal, the food is great and the service is beyond any 5-star expectation. Absolutely fantastic. The hotel manager, Akin, helped me organize and facilitate my marriage proposal and did so by going above and beyond. My no fiancé are eternally grateful for Akin’s help and personal touch.

This is an amazing hotel. Each room is spacious and beautiful but has its own distinctive style. I was amazed to find out that our room had a spa bath plus a sauna which could be ideal when it is snowing. The breakfast buffet was definitely the best of all of our buffet breakfasts on the Turkish leg of our tour. There isn’t much around but the hotel is so nice that you don’t really need to go out. We didn’t use the pool because the weather was quite mild.

This was an amazing hotel. The staff was extremely courteous and accommodating. The space is tranquil and relaxing, and the food is amazing! It's a little out of the city, which gives you seclusion, and peace and quiet. Would definitely come back.

On a Fez Travel tour. Should have been in the main hotel but were put in "overspill" accommodation which required us to be driven to breakfast and evening meals. Meant we didn't have chance to take advantage of the main hotel swimming pool, bar and terraces - which did look very nice. Fez blamed the hotel for overbooking, though it happened twice on this tour. My bathroom was very smart and cave-like, the bedroom was large but the door didn't always lock properly.

It truly is a 'Cave' hotel and it even houses an old Church from the Byzantine time on the grounds. If you cannot climb steps, this is not the place for you - keep that in mind. Also, if you are looking to be in the center of the city with all the restaurants and shopping, you must have a vehicle or be ready to pay for a cab. Also, not all the tour companies were willing to come to this hotel even though it is only 25 min. away from their downtown. We loved the fact that they kept all the old caves and converted them to a hotel room and each room is unique. The breakfast spread is unbelievable and also the staff is impacable. We had dinner 2 nights in the only restaurant and all the food was excellent and very reasonably priced.

Great rooms, Amazing breakfast spread, nice restaurant with great food and we'll stocked bar. Got a small pool, but could not use as it was cold. All amenities in the room including safe, ironbox, tea/ coffee pot etc.. Very friendly and caring staff. Those who don't speak English well, immediately calls for support and help you with anything. Need to know: Little away from any stores or other restaurants. Temperature control inside room is tricky. We felt too hot and turned off heating. Noise of running water and talking from neighboring rooms are audible. All these are characteristics of any Cave hotel and it’s not an issue with this particular one. Went of for a walk in morning but nothing scenic around the place and also there are too many dogs around.

It’s a very unique experience, very good food, excellent ambience! I did not see any elevators, so prepare to take your luggage up and downstairs if your room is upstairs! This is not inside the city you are nowhere near any major attractions, you will have to find a way to get to the major attractions like Hot Air Balloon and the underground caves, etc.
