The personnel seemed very pleasant, but the property itself, while certainly clean, seemed "down at the heels". We usually stay at 4-star hotels and this one is only a 3-star. It was, however, very reasonably priced and so you have to take some downsides with the upsides.

Its a traditional hotel with some old forgotton procedures. Handwritten invoices etc. The receptionist informed me that I obligated have to give up my car keys (rental car) even though thats against the rental agreement or find another place. It did not feel inviting or comfortable which was partly do to the language barier. The Room keys are traditional old keys which they advise to leave behind but I other guests can then enter your room so I decided to keep it with me. Overall the hotel is in good condition, basic but clean rooms and a good breakfast. The location is great and it looks green, well maintained and good condition.

Ideal for access to town centre, as there is a car park which is locked at night. We were not asked to leave our car keys, possibly because the hotel was not very full. The room was very small but comfortable. Staff (owner and family) were very helpful and gave an excellent recommendation for eating places. We would use it again if in Angers.

I liked the quiet area and the really French style of elegant house without it being too formal. Very close to the town centre but in a little side road without much traffic.

An excellent city centre location, yet very quiet ( at least during our stay ). Comfortable bed, and very good breakfast. The decor is eclectic, and bathroom fixtures & fittings need updating ( as 2 star, at a push ); very basic soaps & towels let the place down. Parking ( €15 per day ) in the courtyard is controlled by the Angers equivalent of Basil Fawlty, whilst Sybil was on reception. We reckon the gorgeous cat permanently lounging in the reception was really in charge !

This is a nice, charming hotel with clean rooms and a friendly staff.

Quirky quiet hotel a very short walk from main city square. Tricky to find due to narrow one way streets around hotel. The only way to access is via bd du marechal Foch, then rue David d’angers, then rue des ursules. Parking available in courtyard at 15 euro per night. There is an underground car park close by but no on street parking. A few odd things about this place . Car keys to be left at reception! Reception closed at 8, no staff anywhere to be seen! Also means you can’t get access to car after 8. They ask you to leave room key hanging on board in a public area if you leave the hotel. Never seen this anywhere else. It’s a massive security red flag especially as there is no safe in the room. We ignored and kept key on us. Room was clean and comfortable, as was the bed. In bathroom no shower, just shower attachment in bath Outside the hotel in one direction a nice city park. In the other direction the theatre square where you will find the main shopping streets restaurants etc. recommend “le pub” decent food and service. In town you will see a blue line on many of the streets. Follow this for all the main tourist sights. It’s a circular route and shown on tourist maps. Overall it’s a reasonably price well located comfortable place for a stop overstay. No bar No lift

The staff accommodated our need to leave early the next morning by moving our car to a spot to make it easy to leave. The room and bathroom were extremely small. We found restaurants but had difficulty finding one where you didn’t need reservations. We had only arrived in town a few hours earlier so had no time to research restaurants. One restaurant manager took pity on us and 3 other parties and we had a great dinner.
