Hotel Jupiter

This is a really nice hotel. Yes the room is a bit small but enough for one person. I wanted the room just to take a shower and sleep, most of the time i was out so it was enough space for me. It’s exactly like pictures and windows are sond proof, it has good internet, coffee maker, hot water and tea. Totally nice option according to the price

The hotel is very well located, short walk distance to Leidseplein tram. The area is beautiful; walking around the streets surrounding the hotel is very enjoyable. Close to the hotel there is a pizzeria and a sandwhich spot that are amazing. Also, there is a supermarket accros the corner. The room itself is pretty basic; if you are just using it to sleep I think it is sufficient. The room was very small though, for some people this could be an issue.

Our stay was great. Ben was very helpful. The location was perfect for walking and close to transit stops. Room was well appointed and comfortable bed. Washroom had a shower that needed to have the squeegee blocking the flow of water onto the floor but that was easily managed. Deposit for a safe key. Fine. Had to pay the tourist tax upon checking in. Use cash because a 2% credit card fee is applied. The lift is small but works just fine especially since we were on the top floor and the staircase was very steep. No issues for bed bugs from us but the windows don’t have screens and we did get mosquito bites at night. No big deal. Highly recommend

This hotel is in a nice neighbourhood, with cafes and restaurants nearby, and also a Lidl a few minutes away. The nearest tram stop is a 10 minute walk and you can walk to the museum Quarter in 15 minutes or so. For the railway station you need to take a tram or cab, or walk around 40 minutes. The streets around the hotel were quiet and it felt safe. Inside the hotel, it is a basic 3* with worn decor and it seemed expensive, but perhaps that is just Amsterdam prices. We had quite a chilly reception from the reception staff on most occasions. They would answer questions and help when asked. Having a good coffee machine in the room was a lovely bonus, and additional pods were available to buy. One of the main downsides is the access to upper floors. We don't mind taking stairs, but the staircase is extremely steep, narrow, and spiralled, and it was quite hazardous. The lift is for only two people, or one with a suitcase. It made it very difficult to pop back to an upper floor room for something. For breakfast or dinner nearby, I recommend Bosco.

-Property overcharges on city tax. Didn't provide a receipt after paying cash and when asked for a refund, only gave back half of what they owed us. -Woke up with bug bites on our bodies and blood stains on the sheets (pictures included). Very stressful experience because we had to carefully check our luggages and clothes to make sure we weren't bringing bed bugs home. -Property feels more like a hostel than a hotel. Way too expensive for what you're getting. -The bathroom is the size of a small shoe closet. Barely any room to move around. There was no counter space and the sink is the size of a football. Impossible to wash your face without water spilling all over the floor. When you take a shower, water leaks out onto the tile floor creating a huge and slippery mess. The water only goes up to a certain temperature and pressure isn't strong enough. -Poor wifi connection. -No air conditioning so it gets really hot in the room. Had to sleep with the windows open and could hear people talking and shouting outside. If your room is facing the front of the building, the smell of cigarettes wafts into your room when windows are open. -Walls are paper thin so we heard doors opening and banging shut all night. -No cable TV. -Stairs are extremely steep. -It's a 10 min walk to get to the nearest tram stop or 35 min walk to the city centre. -No refrigerator and safe. -No staff at reception from around midnight to 7am.

What a lovely hotel. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The rooms were immaculately clean. The location of the hotel was perfect for our trip away in a lovely area. There was a Lidl round the corner and a lovely place called The Sandwich Bar on the corner along from the hotel. The best part was the beds were so comfortable so we got a good nights sleep after walking all day. We booked two rooms. My daughter and her friend were on the third floor overlooking the street and it was really nicely done out. Our room was on the ground floor overlooking the courtyard at the back. The only downside to our room was walking from outside straight into the bathroom. Would definitely stay here again.

Spend a long weekend here and can't fault it. Great location if you don't mind a bit of walking. Staff were helpful and friendly throughout. Rooms were lovely, clean and a very comfy bed. It was the perfect place to be for the weekend as we got to see lots of Amsterdam from here

Nice small hotel near City centre. Room was nice and clean. The stairs to the room was very abrupt. Staff saa Very friendly, there was no breakfast but there was coffee machine in The downstairs. Over all nice Simple hotel! Location was quiet.

The first thing on arrival is that I had to upgrade for 50 euro's to have a shower in the room an then there's the 50 euro city tax !! Ok the room was tiny you could hardly walk round the bed , there was only one window so it was like a sauna in july when we stayed. The television did not work and a large person would not be able to fit in the shower . This a genuine review I would not recommend this to anyone
