Donnapaola Modern Farm

Very nice place, totally calm, out in the nature, surrounded by trees, gras, cows and beautifully restored or new built buildings. Personel very friendly and helpful. The food was very good, 100% local and self-made and felt like in a home. Access not easy, but once you're there you will be happy. Very clean.

We arrived at the hotel at dusk and in the pouring rain. It was down a 2km track and very isolated. However we were made to feel very welcome with a hot coffee while we were checking in. Even though we were the only guests (it’s was coming to the end of the season) the restaurant remained open for us and the breakfast in the morning was very good with local specialties. The room was spotless. The only reason we gave it 4 stars was the lack of Wi-Fi in the bedroom. We were told it was only temporary but we could get Wi-Fi in the communal areas which is a separate building we had to go to in the dark and rain.

We stayed for several days in September 2022 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and comfortable with a great bathroom/shower. It is in the country so very quiet and is about a 20 minute drive off the main road so you do need a car to get around. The food (breakfast and dinner) and service were wonderful!! The staff is to be commended on their care and attention to detail. The owner gave us a tour which was very interesting. We appreciated their commi**ent to using local produce.

The farm was within easy driving distance to many very interesting towns in this part of Italy. You definitely need a car as the farm is located out of town. There was a great attention to detail - there was a lantern to use when walking to the restaurant at night - and they have a commi**ent to use local producers.

Reis was eind sept 2023. Onze GPS stopte bij het bordje met aanduiding DonnaPaola Modern Farm, voor de grindweg. Je doet er ongeveer 7 minuten over om bij de ingang te komen. Juist als je denkt dat je verkeerd zit staan er duidelijke wegwijzers. Het hek werd voor ons open gedaan en achter ons gesloten. Er werd ons voorgereden naar de Receptie die gelegen is in het grote restaurant. Na het inchecken werden we voorgereden naar de accommodatie op het enorme terrein. De omgeving is een prachtig natuurgebied van honderden hectares. Er groeien eikenbomen. De zonsondergang en zonsopgang is spectaculair. Ik heb 's nachts de dwergooruil en steenuil gehoord. We worden wegwijs gemaakt door Maria, die kunstenares is en het tegeltableau in de slaapkamer heeft gemaakt. Angela en Maria hebben s'avonds voor ons diner gezorgd. We hebben kennis gemaakt met heerlijke lokale producten en een goede fles wijn. Het ontbijt werd door Angela klaargemaakt. Ze is werkelijk een voortreffelijke kok. Het ontbijt werd in het lager gelegen gebouw (voormalige herdersschuur) geserveerd. Alle gebouwen hebben nu afzonderlijke WIFI. Op onze kamer viel de WiFi nogal eens uit. Overal was verlichting aanwezig, alleen het laatste trapje, als je van de auto naar de kamer gaat, bleek nog een struikelblok. Verder is er een geriefelijk zwembad met een bar, waar alles voorhanden is. s'Morgensvroeg lopen de koeien met bellen om hun nek langs. De kamer is zeer smaakvol en geriefelijk. Er zijn prachtige producten gebruikt voor de inrichting. Je zit niet ver af van Altamura en Matera. Het was een hele indrukwekkende ervaring en ik zou heel graag nog eens terug gaan als het Art-centrum klaar is. Ik volg ze nu op instagram om op de hoogte te blijven van de ontwikkelingen. Het geeft een vleugje Italiaanse zon in het koude Nederland.

Struttura immersa nella natura dove è possibile godere di una pace bucolica. Staff disponibile, attento e pronto a soddisfare le richieste del cliente. La colazione curata con prodotti a km 0 e squisiti dolci preparati dalle sapienti mani della signora Angela. La camera spaziosa e con tutto il necessario. Unica pecca, se possiamo definirla così, è la connessione Wi-Fi poco stabile.

Luogo incredibilmente bello se cercate relax e siete amanti della natura. A 15 minuti di auto da Matera, raggiungerete il sito imboccando la strada sterrata per circa 2 km e vi ritroverete in questo immenso policentrico "tempio sacro" dell' ospitalità, dove sapori gastronomici e visivi, arti, cultura, riposo e riscoperta delle connessioni comunicative umane saranno gli elementi significativi del vostro soggiorno. Guidati da un capace e cordiale team, verrete accompagnati nell' esplorazione di Donnapaola Farm che trasmette con autenticità la propria missione di anteporre valori umani ormai oscurati dalla attuale società frenetica e consumistica. Consiglio questo posto a chi come me ama distaccarsi completamente e vuole vivere un' esperienza sopra le righe catapultandosi nella natura. Descrivendo più esplicitamente la parte alberghiera, le camere sono pulite e confortevoli, la cucina prettamente casalinga è genuina e curata. Piscina molto bella e staff presente ma mai invadente. Esperienza per me più che unica grazie a Maria, Angela e Vito.

Très bel endroit au milieu de la nature entouré de vaches. Accueil chaleureux du propriétaire, de Maria et Angela qui cuisine des produits de qualité, ambiance familiale et petit déjeuner excellent. Vous pouvez également dîner sur place il vous en coûtera 40€ le menu par personne plus le vin.

Struttura molto bella ma ancora in fase di completamento. Alcuni consigli per renderla perfetta: tende oscuranti, visto che non ci sono persiane, wifi nelle stanze, qualche luce in più nel tragitto alla camera. Qualche dubbio sulla doccia a vista sulla stanza. Per il resto luogo affascinante, immerso nella natura, ottime colazioni con prodotti fatti da loro squisiti, buono il ristorante, menzione particolare alla gentile e simpatica Angela.
