A well located city hotel with good facilities. It's the staff that make this hotel welcoming with good hospitality skills , the front of house Damian especially thank you for your help always with transport information. The GEX Manager thank you for your leadership helping to resolve some issues , your all a credit to the Melia chain . We will be back to enjoy those views again. The breakfast is a good array of options sets you up for the day :) Tips ...use the tram and spa at the Porta Maris Hotel it's discounted for hotel guests

Check in was very easy, lucky to arrive and our room available straight away. We paid an extra €45 for a 3pm late check out, well worth it for a 10:30pm home flight. The young man on the check in desk was super helpful. Only two 6 people Max lifts with 26 floors, often had a wait for a lift. Room was on the 15th floor, compact but great double aspect views of the Castillo and Marina. The rain shower over the bath worked nicely but very slippery and dangerous climbing in and out of the bath, the shower screen not effective so floor easily gets very wet. Beds comfy enough. Not a huge amount of hanging space for clothes. TV was very obtrusive. The room was quite noisy with incoming guests in the landing area, slamming doors, families arguing and children playing football in the neighbouring room. Added with the outside traffic noise. Breakfast was typical buffet style selection. The location of the hotel is very good, right near the promenade for an evening stroll in the shade. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby easy walking distance. Overall, a reasonable stay in a reasonable hotel in a lovely City.

Loved this hotel. Can't believe anyone complained about customer service. I don't think I have stayed anywhere with friendlier service at every level of contact. Rooms were really spacious and comfortable. We booked to have sea views which were spectacular from the 15th floor. The rooftop bar was spectacular. Just wished we had pre-booked the restaurant as was full-up Location was amazing for beach, shops, restaurants and old town
