Strange hotel. Wanted to like it but felt like it was under renovation still. The quality of the renovation was also a little sketchy. The light fixture was broken in the room and the shower flooded the entire bathroom. Felt like quite strange decor a mix of new and old not really what you see on the website. The bar / breakfast area is stunning and much more in keeping with what I thought the rest of the hotel would be like. Nevertheless nothing was really wrong with our stay we just got a bit weirded out by the decor and renovation

Special thanks to Louisa at reception for being so empathetic and accommodating! We loved the hotel and definitely recommend. Nicely located near all the attractions and easy walk around the neighborhood to see the main points of interest in town. Close to the steps to the top of the mountain. Dinner also excellent, try the tempura schrimp as a strater, and the fish soup. Excellent menu. Very cozy and stylish ho, minimalist style and everything is very tasteful.

Great hotel. Rooms felt very minimalist, which was good - but could have done with some more information on the facilities at the hotel in the room. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

Lovely hotel with well designed rooms and exceptionally engaging and helpful staff, particularly front desk. Breakfast was superb with fresh OJ!

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel 1904!! The staff was friendly and so very helpful, especially after we were given a room with two twins instead of a queen. The hotel itself is gorgeous, with beautiful clean rooms and a lovely dining area for the breakfast buffet. We loved the area around the hotel - very walkable and close to many city highlights. All around, one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in! We hope to be back one day!

We wanted to like this hotel so much but it just wasn’t it for us.
Pros:
Bed was comfortable, hotel itself is beautifully decorated. All the staff are friendly. Green garden is the restaurant located inside the hotel, food was very good.
Cons:
The design of the bathroom is basically nonfunctional. There was only a sink with no place to put toiletry. A shelf would be useful. Also, the shower is only half covered by a glass door which is fine in some cases. The water pressure is good here so water is shooting out, making the floor very wet after a shower. Overall, the design and functionality of the bathroom could be significantly improved
