Stayed for one night on business. Pleasant staff and a very good breakfast were the high points but unfortunately the room was a let down, especially the bathroom which was full of cobwebs, had no hand soap and was generally grubby. The bed was comfortable but the sheets were scratchy and there were bugs in the room and a moth flew out of the cupboard when I opened it. The light fitting above the bed was also filthy.

We had a fabulous one night stay here from the moment we walked in we were greeted by friendly helpful staff . The pub is really nice and full of character and very clean . The rooms have lovely decor and are clean and well equipped with toiletries and a coffee machine ! Breakfast looked great although we just had coffee and toast . A special mention to Freya and Paige who were so friendly and helpful and made our stay even more enjoyable !

Stayed the night here after our wedding (also held at the Hinds Head) our room was lovely the bed a comfortable 4 poster. Bathroom was well stocked with toiletries the shower powerful & large. Breakfast was really good lots of choice cereals/fruit /yoghurt pastries juices and all that before tucking into a good hot full English (there were other choices) some family also stayed & were equally as happy with their room. The Hinds Head is a very old building with heaps of character and atmosphere. Staff were helpful and the room was spotless.

I cant thank the staff enough for such a fabulous evening last night….From the moment I spoke to Frankie over the phone to book my work event I had every confidence we were going to be well looked after and I wasn’t wrong. A special mention to Abby, Toni Sophea & Libby for looking after us so well and catering for all of our needs, nothing was too much trouble. We had a set menu with 4 choices of starters, mains and desserts and every dish was immaculately presented and tasted amazing so a huge thank you to Luke the chef for delivering such a high standard of food. Everyone that attended the event couldnt speak highly enough of the food, venue, staff and service we received. I have already been asked if we can book our Christmas work event here and its an absolute yes from me if you will have us back? Thanks again everyone! Felicity X

We had a lovely two night stay, we were a family and friends group staying for a nearby wedding. Staff at the Hind head were welcoming and friendly. Ben on the bar was lovely and made me a good drink, just how I liked it. The Hind Head is very clean and tastefully decorated. The Manager ensures visitors, guests are well looked after. Food is excellent, must have an exceptional chef. Overall thank you to team Hind Head.

Lovely food, we were really well looked after exceptionally well by Toni who kept checking in and making sure we had everything we need. Would recommend popping in for either a drink or a meal. Menu had a great choice including the specials board. Will be back.

The staff were lovely, we really could not fault them. The place itself was quaint. However, the food service was quite slow, and while some of the food was great, there were a couple of disappointments - one of the desserts was like rubber, sadly. While the place itself is nice and the staff really try hard, here are a few suggestions: * Warn tall people about very low ceilings for some rooms when booking so they can consider options... * If a very large party is dining as a one off, potentially reduce service or close the restaurant to other diners as the wait can be a little silly. * Potentially chat with the cleaning staff as the rooms were pretty grubby in places - our socks were a bit gross from walking around the room. * It sounds entitled, but maybe consider nicer bread at breakfast or at least for the cooked/hot menu options. Sliced (pre packed?) bread is not very 2024, maybe consider at least having sourdough for the main dishes :/ * Maybe switching from concentrated to fresh orange juice might be a low cost way of also improving the experience. * Maybe it's not solvable as it's an old setup, but the plumbing is a bit off - the shower kept starting and stopping and going hot/cold. I think we might have paid over the odds for our room, and maybe at the normal price point this is alright, but for ＞£200 a night it wasn't quite up to the standard of other hotels we've stayed in at that price. It was fine, but we won't be going out of our way to return. Sorry!

We wanted to thank Frankie,Luke and all there amazing staff for making our wedding reception perfect.the food was second to none and the rooms were lovely. I would highly recommend anyone thinking of having a special event or just a meal or an overnight stay to give the hinds head a try Gary &Lisa
