Hotel Ivory Playa Sports & Spa

I was very fortunate to stay at this lovely, family focussed hotel in late summer of 2023. The facilities were spot and on - clean and spacious bedrooms (ours was a family room, with living room which had two large sofas that converted to beds for the children, adjoining kitchenette, large shower room and adjoining master bedroom with a lot of storage. The pool and daytime entertainment was lovely (aside from the strong smell of onions on one side due to the abundance of allium plants in the beautiful flower beds). The main pool was clean, warm and big enough to accommodate the volume of guests. The two additional pools were quieter if required but to the same standard. Plenty of sun loungers but you did need to get down early to grab a good place for the day. The restaurant had something for all tastes and plenty of it. There was never disappointment. The staff were delightful too and couldn’t be more helpful. Evening entertainment was lots of fun and varied too. A thoroughly wonderful environment and for a 3 star hotel it didn’t disappoint. We’d love to return.

This place is just a perfect mix of everything. Here you can have a quiet peaceful holiday or you can join in with the activities and have a really active time. The hotel is pristine - well looked after, spotless, and really well presented. We tend to keep ourselves to ourselves, but every encounter with any staff member was welcoming and warm. Pool - good size, a relief that no towels could be laid down on beds unt after 9am and a few times we saw towels removed by staff after they had been placed on sunbeds and not used at all. This system works so well as if everybody only used the sunbeds when they really neded them, then there's always enough for all. We never had any issue with getting sunbeds, and we went in the middle of the school summer holidays Apartment - absolutely spotlessly and big enough for 3 of us. We overlooked the petrol station and bush road but there was no noise and we had a nice view of the mountains. Location - beautiful beach on doorstep - a handful of restaurants nearby but an easy bus ride or longer walk to more options. Pol bar served a great selection of drinks and food The enertainment team during the day were so good. We didnt join in but found it very amusing to watch, and they always said hello and included everyone. Conveniently, there's a fab supermarket and bakery opposite! I can not find anything negative to say - Ivory Playa is amazing and you should book it if you are considering!

We visited this hotel in June 2024 with family and friends. We loved it so much that we've booked to return this Septemer and next August! The rooms are basic but very clean throughout, which suits us completely. We had a lake view room which had the sun in the evening. The view of the lake is beautiful. The staff were so friendly and accommodating from the moment we checked in. We were self-catering. However, we paid to eat at the hotel a couple of times, and we're really impressed by the quality and the amount of choice. There's a beautiful deli across the road that does gorgeous pastries, fruit, cakes, olives, oils, etc. It was a great find. There's also a great restaurant next door, which is highly recommended on TripAdvisor, Bar Restaurante Hawaii. 8 of us ate here, and we couldn't fault any of our meals. It was delicious. Ivory Playa is in an ideal location, so close to the beach. There's a rear gate by the snack bar, which is ideal if you want to stay close and pop back for a drink. The pool areas are clean, and there are always plenty of sunbeds. The activities throughout the day are excellent. Our sons loved the paddleboarding and pool games. We could not fault this hotel, the people who worked here, or the location. We can't wait to return!

Just got back from a 8 night stay here. We stayed In a garden view room on the 4th floor. Was a fantastic view of the pool and the sea. We arrived late due to a long flight delay from Leeds. We didn't arrive till past 3am. The guy on the reception was so polite and very welcoming even though we were really late. He explained everything and gave us all on information on the hotel etc. We paid for a safe which was extremely reasonably priced. We were so pleased the next day when we finally got to see our view on the 4th floor. It was outstanding. We are a family of 4, and we had enough room. The sofa beds were sufficient enough for 2 teenagers age 13 and 14. The main bedroom was spacious enough, with very comfy beds. The balcony was large enough also. We have been to Muro before, previously last August. It is a lovely town. But be warned, this hotel is situated at the end of Muro, start of Alcudia. So it is quiet a treck. The walk to Muro isn't to bad, but not much shade. We walked to Alcudia port one day and it took us about 40 minutes. Best way uis to walk along the beach, rather than the road.You can get buses either way, but they do get busy. The hotel staff were all extremely kind. The cleaners never stopped and was busy cleaning the pool area every morning first thing. Can't fault it at all, the hotel is so clean. We went self catering, we can't comment on the food as we didn't have it. We did have food by the pool which was really nice and well priced. The supermarket over the road is handy and the bakery did lovely pastries. We loved the hotel but found it abit to far from everything. Would recommend the hotel but if you don't want to have to walk alot to go out to eat etc you might be better been closer to the resorts. Thanks again to all the staff at the hotel, they were very welcoming and all work extremely hard. We tend to use hotels as a base cause we prefer to be out alot so didn't really use any of the facility's. The pool was good and could always get a sunbed, although people did have habits of leaving towels on them which can be really annoying esp when they obviously was not even there.

Just fabulous. Spotless , small complex ideal for toddler and 8 year old always close by when entertainment on. Thank you for giving us the best seaview room. Animation team so polite and loved their job. Loved the variety every evening only criticism was outside acts coming in to keep songs upbeat as quite a few slow ones . Pool bar beers so nice and ice glasses lovely food. We went self catering. Every taxi was 7 or 8 euros to anywhere we wanted to go and also on a bus route. Felt too much of a walk to the Port we walked it once . Old town stunning. Gorgeous bakery across the road and supermarket . Always got a sunbed . Last but not least 50m from the beach our back garden in the hotel. We had a renovated apartment with unreal views ! They were ok size for our age group family. One of the nicest beaches Ive been on. The most reasonable hotel for what you get. For all these reasons we will be back . Thank you..

We are here now. The hotel is very clean , staff are friendly, studio is perfect . This is our 3rd day and have taken precautions with the mosquitoes, no bites as yet. Do not listen to the bad reviews, there is nothing to complain about unless you are expecting a 5 star for 3 star price. Checkin is efficient and hotel has a friendly atmosphere. The beach , which is less than 5 minute walk is fantastic, sea is warmer than the pool, clear water and no big waves .

The hotel itself is not very big at all which was great. The reception area is light and airy very quick on check in. Spotless throughout. The pool area is a good size it’s closed off to 9.30 most morning so no rushing for a sunbed even if you came down later in the day you could always get one. Day time activities on most of the day starting at about 11 - 4. Pool bar is good for both food and drinks and the prices are reasonable. Didn’t really watch the evening entertainment as we went out most nights but was always finished by 11 and the bar closed by 1145 ish. Rooms are a good size but I think they could be done with updating a little especially the bathroom. Beach 30 seconds away out the side entrance and it was 18 euros for 2 sun beds and an umbrella. Bus stop a couple of minutes walk up the road that takes you all the way to alcudia port if you wanted to about 2 euros each way. Supermarket across the road which had everything you need if going self catering which we were.

Lovely clean hotel Staff lovely and friendly big shout out to Bugi and Alex who were fantastic and a credit to your team Entertainment was not great but the entertainment staff did everything they could to make it enjoyable the 3 male entertainers were full of energy and great fun

The positives: The hotel main areas such as reception and restaurants were clean and well presented. The rooms were a decent size. The breakfast was good and the bar and restaurant staff polite and helpful. The pools were large and the beach nearby was gently shelving and blue. The negatives: I was disappointed with some aspects of this hotel particularly for the amount paid. It was definitely more suitable for families than couples. We booked a sea view room and ended up with room on the third floor in the centre which meant that it was very very loud from the entertainment at night, on the first night when we arrived we were very tired after an early start, but could not sleep as there was no way of blocking the very loud entertainment noise from the room. I was also disappointed with the room cleaning, I had to chase it up and kept getting told there is no cleaning today. When they did come it was late in the day and was sporadic, with very little done on the 3 days out of 7 when it did happen. Perhaps this is normal for a 3 star but I am used to daily room service with the bed made? The sunbeds and pool area had a lot of bird dirt on the first day we went down and I had to clean beds with wipes. To summarise for the amount paid I expected higher standards.
