Tropical Sol

Friendly staff, not bad location

This was our 5th visit to the Tropical Sol and it didn’t disappoint. We were in room 6 beside the pool with a large outdoor patio complete with 2 sun loungers. The room was very large with comfortable beds. Bought a few things for breakfast and lunch and the kitchen area was sufficient for our needs. We would go out at night for dinner to Fat Cats but always returned to the Tropical Sol bar to finish the evening. Ruy, hope I spelt that right, and his daughter run the bar and really make you feel at home. I was speaking to another guest one night and discovered we were both celebrating our birthday. Ruy overheard and then supplied us with a complementary shot, cheers mate. There is a snack bar beside the pool but it was closed for our stay, in fact it was opening the day after we left. Rooms were cleaned every day by very friendly cleaning staff. The weather wasn’t great as it was cloudy every day but still very warm. We normally went for a long walk after breakfast along the main road to Aldi then turned right. The ***** is 5 minutes away and the old town is about 20 minutes away which we walked to and back one day. We didn’t sit at the poolside very long due to a wind blowing across the pool area but sat at our room which was sheltered but still got the sun. On our last two days it rained constantly so we didn’t go far. One night the rain was so bad we couldn’t go out for dinner so had a crisp bap in our room 😂😂 We will be back but not in March due to bad weather which the Tropical Sol have no control over. As said above this was out 5th visit and we will be back hopefully next year. If you want a nice quiet place to chill then the Tropical Sol is for you. Great staff, great location, bakery, bars and restaurants all within a couple of minutes walk. Real treat of a place to stay.

Excellent yet again, a group of 8 of us visited this time and once again had a great holiday in these top class apts. Very friendly and professional staff from reception through to the cleaning staff, the apts are very clean and well equipped and in a great position to visit the ***** or the old town.

My husband and I have just returned home from a really enjoyable 11 night stay at the Tropical Sol, it was our first time in these apartments but not here in Albufeira and we were not disappointed, unfortunately the weather wasn't great but that didn't put us off. The room was large and spacious, fully equipped with everything you need to make a meal although we ate out most of the time, plenty of storage, the room was cleaned, new towels and bed made daily and the staff were always friendly and greeted us with either good morning or good night every day. The room was very cold on an evening but once I googled on how to set the air con to blow out warm air instead of cold all was good. The pool was a great size and the pool area was clean and tidy but because of the weather not many people were sat round so it was very quiet and the snack bar was closed every day. The Tropical Sol is in a great location for both the ***** which is a short walk away and Albufeira old town, you can also catch the road train which stops a short walk away and is a pleasant ride down into the old town and back. We stayed in the exact same room our son stayed in last year when he visited and he had an enjoyable stay and recommended it to us and I highly recommend The Tropical Sol and would definitely stay here again.

Paulo and team really look after you. Their attention to detail, smiles and attentiveness, checking in, ordering taxis, and query efficiency are excellent. We stay with other family remembers, some of whom are here for two to three months at a time. ( JT - room 002 ). We’re in 0002 again this year. Pool side and in the sun. Pool very clean. Gardens and patio areas immaculate. Bedrooms spacious and comfortable. Cleaned every day. Great, safe, location for getting about. Would not hesitate to recommend this place. And yes. We’ll be back again next year. Sixth year of celebrating my wonderful wife’s birthday. Enjoy. You won’t be disappointed!

All the staff are so polite and helpful. The 1 bed apartments are massive with 2 tv's, 2 aircon units, 1 bathroom with shower, bidet, toilet and sink. The bedroom has plenty of storage, spare sockets, mirror, dressing table, 2 bedside lamps, telephone and the comfiest of beds. The kitchen has everything you would need to prepare a family meal. The sitting room/diner has a table and 4 chairs, 4 side lamps, 2 chairs and a sofa with a pull out bed below and this room has the French doors leading out onto the balcony. We stayed b&b for 7 days and do not have a single complaint. Breakfast had so much to choose from, from cooked including sausage bacon egg and beans with mushrooms and grilled tomatoes, toast with jam or marmalade to ham and cheese to cakes and biscuits to fruit or cereal and fruit and tea, coffee, hot chocolate or fruit juices. The pool has amazing wheelchair access from reception level to been in the pool. 10 +* I shall be back.

Relaxing and comfortable getaway. Apartment was clean, large for two people and had a sunny balcony. Two televisions - one in living area and one in bedroom with British TV channels and excellent free broadband. Did B&B with Jet2 - supermarkets and restaurants a short walk. Great tourist bus for venturing further into Albufeira Old Town. Will be returning soon.

Absolutely love this place have stayed here many times , the staff are all so friendly receptionists , the bar staff , cleaners who do a great job and of course Natalia in the snack bar who serves excellent food at reasonable prices . not too far from ***** and just a short journey to old town .Supermarkets just few minutes walk away with everything you need . . cannot recommend this place enough , already booked for this year again cannot wait

We stayed in the tropical sol on the 21st of June. After reading other reviews here we asked for a ground floor apartment which thankfully we got. It was amazing right beside the pool with our own sunloungers and a huge balcony. The studio apartment was very large and spotless clean. The food at the poolside bar was reasonably priced and as the week went on we reckon it was nicer than most of the restaurants around. The barman and his mother are so friendly and the food was made with love. the other guests were returning customers to the tropical sol and we were lucky to meet some lovely people who added to our overall holiday experience. Would highly recommend these apartments and would definitely go back.
