Monica Isabel Beach Club

Perfect location if you’re looking to stay near the beach. Walking distance to Albufeira city center, around 15 minutes. The bathroom needs a renovation but it’s a 3 star hotel. The bed is very comfortable. The air conditioning was perfect! Our room had a very nice terrace , with a beach view.

The location is great, however there is party going on every day until 11, which makes it impossible to rest before 11. We also found lice in the room.

The hotel is situated in a nice spot right by the beach that is absolutely beautiful. By walking on the beach you can get to town which is well worth visiting. The main pool does have all the entertainment during the day, such as aerobic and kids games. There is one bar by the pool serving some selection of snacks, I.e. toasts, fruits, drinks. It is by order, not a pick and choose by yourself. The main restaurant is accessible by the lift as it is on the 7th floor. Views are gorgeous. The staff in the restaurant was amazing, very friendly, and very accommodating and made our stay a very enjoyable one special thank you to Tikal and Sami . It is a small hotel not as some big village like places so if you look for a nice stay without much walking that is for you. People do reserve sunlounges very early onh so even though we did not want to do it we ended up waking up early just to put our towels on as otherwise we wouldn't have a nice sunlounges and having 2 kids would be hard to manage. A bit slippy and hilly in places. Evening entertainment was too late for our kids to enjoy, so we skipped that. Overall we had an amazing time.

A terrible experience from start to finish. . . the highlight of this holiday was coming home. We changed room three times after the first room had faeces on the bed linen, second room offered had exposed live cables coming from the wall and we accepted the third room at 7pm on arrival day as we were exhausted. We lived in a filthy room for ten days alongside large groups of stag/hen parties which we had to call reception due to them hammering on our door at 3-5am in the morning. We stayed in Block M2 which is a fair way to walk to the pool, restaurants and bar. The hotel staff at the pool bar were miserable and unhelpful. There was no kettle or hairdryer in the room and we had to hire a hairdryer for 20 euros. The food here is made up from left over food from the main restaurants. Tasteless, repetitive, hardly any choice and very unhygienic staff. The pool bar toilets are disgusting, the door was broken and i complained three times but it didn't get repaired. There are no cleaners so expect the worst. One morning i went into the toilet and it hadn't been cleaned since the day before. If the food doesn't put you off the toilets do. There is only one unisex toilet on the terrace (were entertainment is) so expect to queue and take your own toilet roll if you do visit this hotel. The drinks were cheap containing very little alcohol and the queues to get them showed how understaffed this hotel is. The food and service in the main restaurant is very poor. The glasses and plates were stained and all meat dishes were luke-warm and disguised with sauces, originating from leftover meat - i ate bread, salad and cheese for 10 days. You need to get two lifts to the restaurant and the lifts had an odour of urine or vomit on a few occasions. Finally the third room we stayed in was thick with dust, stained surfaces and the cleaners did not clean it once in ten days. They made our beds but they did not change them or do any cleaning. The dust on the headboard was thick and the local insects which thrive in this environment will bite you. Do not be tricked by the location and scenery of the website's photographs. Yes the scenery is nice but the hotel is very poor in all aspects of what it offers. It is certainly not good value for money. It is unsuitable for elderly people having listened to several other visitors whilst there - there is a steep hill from the pool bar going to restaurant. Worst holiday i have ever had and i have stayed in cleaner hostels. The only positive i can take from our stay here was that when Ryanair cancelled our flight home, The Jet2 representative LAURA went above and beyond to help us - despite us not being her customers. Laura was friendly, assisted us with arranging flight home, luggage information etc and she gave the most friendliest and helpful service in the hotel throughout our stay. Do not book!!!

The gym is false advertisement (non existent) the kids club is a joke, 2 hours per day for only 8 kids. Kids mini disco starts at 9pm far too late. Do not cater for the young kids. All inclusive bar does not open until 11am. Check out at 12noon, only allowed lunch and then your all inclusive wrist band comes off regardless of the time you are being picked up. Only ONE toilet for guests to use in bar area. Entertainment needs upgrading. Arrived late at night and had to find our own rooms. No cutlery or crockery in rooms. Pool bar opens at 11am, so sit around few hours before you can have a drink. No ice cream for kids except at pool bar. Very hilly so people with disabilities will struggle. Beds have been changed since we were here in 2017 the mattress are very hard! Scenery great, food was good.

If you LIKE CHAVS this hotel is for you! WORST HOTEL EVER! the bed blankets are so dirty. My first night we had no blankets.! They only cater to you if you’re white! Black ppl don’t go here!! Foods terrible. The outdoor pool is freezing! If your not white everyone will look and point

We have been coming 5 years now and was disappointed this time as the food was lukewarm and seemed to have lots more fish than meats we also noticed that it’s changed a lot… lots of large parties of lads getting hammered with young children around also only 1 toilet being used by men and women and left in a disgusting mess, plug sockets hanging off and unusable… the cleaning staff were lovely and it needs to be updated and freshened up some of the bar staff were miserable and didn’t seem that they wanted to be there… the Portuguese chefs were brilliant a few years ago but they had different in there this time and the food wasn’t as nice it seemed that the fries were from the lunchtime…. And the food wasn’t hot just warm or even cold but I still like it there but will be looking at somewhere else for October unfortunately 🥺

Water 1 bottle of 1 l for 5 days is all we got for 3 persos,never cleaned and changed beds in this 5 days .. not even one Spon in room we booked 3 people and all we had left in room was 2 cups also in bathroom too also towels for 2 people ...very disappointed...not even a welcome in at reception when we came first day ,food the same if you didint eat in morning you had at lunch and also at dinner very small.changed ... very but very disappointed for the money we paid and what we got, never ever again for sure ,next time we will try something else.at eleven a clock everyone we must go to sleep .
