El Dorado Seaside Suites Catamarán, Cenote & More Inclusive

Absolutely loved the place. We left the resort one time the whole 5 days lol. Food was great ESPECIALLY room service. Only thing I didn’t like was the cold water in the pool. We couldn’t even enjoy the swim out pool because the water was freezing.

Spent a week in late May as a couples trip, traveling with 1 other couple. Overall, we had a very enjoyable vacation. There are pros and cons to this resort, but our experience left us feeling satisfied with the stay. I personally believe it is all based on what your expectations are. If you expect perfection, you will not find it here (nor most places). It was not perfect but it was very good. For whatever reason it was ‘low occupancy’ season so that also had its benefits and downsides. Staff were very friendly, 100% of the time. We felt they all were trying their best for excellent customer service. Tips not expected (felt no pressure) however we tripped a little and frequently and it was appreciated. We had a positive experience with our ‘assigned’ concierge but our friends did not. I’ve seen reviews about high pressure sales with the concierge but that was not our experience. She asked about our interest and we declined to seek more information and that was it. Our friends started off with a bad experience as their ‘assigned’ concierge was not working on the first day and the people who were present literally refused to make a dinner reservation for them, they had to ‘wait’ for their assigned concierge to work-and was also not present on day 2 either and refused to help them again- not acceptable at all… Property- immaculate, beautiful and sprawling grounds- nice ocean breeze and ample shade all over. Golf carts cycle regularly and can easily catch a ride (at least it was easy during low occupancy). Nice resting spots throughout the property. Bring comfortable walking shoes. It felt very confusing to navigate the first few days, despite really making an effort to learn it. They don’t give you a map! The app they have you use is barely functional some of the time. Rooms- we had a ground level room with walk out to the main pool and were on the end away from the noise of the main pool- it was a great location. Rooms spacious, comfortable. Bed very comfortable for our preferences. Walls are thin if noisy neighbors.. we had quiet for half of stay and the remainder had noisy neighbors who got up at 6am and started loudly chatting, laughing and carrying on for hours(uuugh). Somewhat outdated decor however, we really liked and enjoyed our space. The shower was awesome. The soaking tub was a bust- not enough hot water to fill it and it was not usable which was really disappointing to me. The view from the room - amazing, peaceful and perfect. It’s so nice to just step out and be able to access the pool and see/hear the ocean at the same time. The room cleaning service was inconsistent. First few days was morning clean up and bedtime turn down with fridge restocked, and then multiple days of no room service at all and we would have to call for towels and waters to be brought- which they did do pretty promptly. We left daily tips, but despite that the room cleaning and restock was half on /half off. Food- our opinion

Hi all. We just returned from 7 nights at the El Dorado Seaside Suites and wanted to provide our experience. Everyone has a different experience no matter where they go. Please don't jump in and say 'you are wrong' as this is how our experience went. But, feel free to share yours so everyone is informed. It is a beautiful property. Depending on traffic, around 1-1 ½ hours from Cancun airport. Some people we met flew into the new Tulum airport. Reception went well and extremely quick. They were not super busy. Had a person come by and ask us if we wanted a drink and then went to the bar to get our order. We were taken on a golf cart to our room, but got a quick tour of the property before heading to our room on the Suites side. Overall Reaction - We wouldn't come back. It was a much needed get away, but in our opinion, there are much better places to go than here. The resort is listed many places as a 4+ stars, but I cannot support that rating. I am thinking 2 stars, but it is priced like a 4+ star resort. Had several power outages (maybe 10-12) ranging for a few seconds to 30+ minutes. Beach is pretty much non-existent. There was no consistency at all. Food was severely lacking. Drink availability was spotty (more on that later). Service was fair. We were booked at a different resort, but needed to modify travel dates due to personal reasons and came here based on the recommendation of the travel agent. I think they need to update their recommendation list….. Room - We thought our room was great. Spacious. Clean. Good temp. Large shower. Bathroom isn't really private, but not a big deal at all. Infinity pool right outside of our door. Temp of the water was pretty cool, but not unbearable. On 3rd floor, so could see the water from our balcony. If 2nd floor or below, wouldn't be able to see the water. In all, I'd say our room was good. Restaurants - A LOT of work to be done here. Not all are always open and the menu on the App does not match what is available in the restaurants. Buffets are severely lacking. There may or may not be food there. Heard several people complaining on the lack of food available. Went for 'seafood night' and basically had a choice of baked or fried (dry) fish….. Went to the Mexican night on the beach. Scheduled from 7-9 pm. Got there about 7:15 and got seated. Went to fill our plates and the food was pretty much gone. Found out later they only cook a certain amount and once it is gone, they are done. If you are not there early, you may or may not get anything. We got pretty much nothing. Mia Casa Italian was excellent. I made reservations through our concierge. Stopped in to confirm and were told since we were only staying 7 nights (ONLY??) we could not have 2 reservations…. Never heard of that before. But, it was great. Alfonso was our waiter and he was excellent. As we were getting ready to leave dinner, he asked if we were coming back. We told him the story and he said that was not true and helped coordinate

This place is amazing!! The Bali Beds are so wonderful!! The people are so kind and accommodating. Miguel at the Seaside Suites took such GREAT care of us and gave us a Bali Bed everyday! He keep’s everything so clean and he is so friendly!! We will definitely return next year!!

Miriam, Luanda and Alejandro made our visit and stay super enjoyable. We met them along the beach when they were setting up activities but that wasn't our only interactions with them. Everytime we saw them, they stopped and chatted with us. Then there was Miguel, the Cabana Beach Boss. He took great care of us as well! Our goal was to have a good time and relax. This trip made that a reality and more. Everything was exactly as the website said but all the employees were awesome.

Love the Palms side of this resort. We love the proximity ti the beach, ocean view, lush vegetation snd Mexican feel. Restaurants are amazing! Our favourites are Casa Mia, Klay Talay and Cullinarium, for dinner. Cullinarium and Chef’s market have a good breakfast selection. Beach bbq is good but needs separate line for hot dogs and burgers. Also the salad dressings need to be upgraded to the standard Cesar, Ranch, blue cheese, oil and vinegar. Accommodations were comfortable, well maintained and room service was excellent. Staff are outstanding and very responsive to requests. Lomas transportation Guillermo was helpful. Fulfilling room section request would save time and effort rather than having to lose a vacation day changing rooms.

Honestly could not fault this place. Me and my boyfriend stayed here last week 19/11/23 - 26/11/23 for 7 nights. We checked in and was greeted with prompt luggage collectors and a glass of Prosecco. We were given our door keys and we went to the room. Unfortunately we discovered a leak in our bathroom. We told reception and they offered us a room change the next day or a free spa trip. We didn’t want to change rooms as our room was stunning and in the most perfect location room 416. So we opted for the free spa and we even treated ourselves to a further body massage. It was amazing. The leak did not affect our stay in anyway and we accept things happen. The staff in the restaurants were the most outstanding waiters and waitresses. We’d especially like to commend Manuel who served our table on Fiesta Night. We left a good tip, he couldn’t have been more attentive to me and my partner, he’s great. The room - absolutely amazing. We stayed in room 416 which is in the premium block. The balcony here has a stunning view of both the sea and the gorgeous palm tree garden. The room was cleaned every single day without fail, clean sheets and mini fridge restocked. The bathroom even has heated flooring, The whirlpool bathtub is great too. My only small criticism is the food in the Mexican restaurant La Caretta, my boyfriend adored this restaurant but I found it to be quite bland and disappointing as I was excited to try authentic Mexican food. Perhaps I am just a fussy eater. The hotel staff say Hola to you whenever they pass you in the resort, which was super nice and just added to the atmosphere in my opinion.

went with my 15 friends to celebrate my 40th birthday. my gold necklace is missing from the room. and they are not taking any action and not helped me to look for it. one of my friend is also missing whole set of LV gold jwelary (necklace, earing, Braclet) is missing from the safe box. and resort is not taklen any action about this seriously. we lost total $10,000 worth gold jwelary. and they act like its nothing. do not recomed this place. they are thief.

We stayed at Eldorado Seaside Suites in May 2024. Edith, Lesley and Ivan were our butlers and did a fantastic job. They took excellent care of us and made sure we had everything we needed. The following servers and bartenders were terrific, took excellent care of us and were so very nice. Heriberto always greeted us with a big smile and hug, he took excellent care of us. Others, Emmanuel, Wilbert, Arturo, Jose, Lorenzo, Janet, Alissa, Lurdy, Lizbeth, Juan, Alexandro, Rodrico, Carina, Rosa, Aue, Elli, Cuisa, Maria, Janet, Esteban, Zandro, Miron all took excellent care of us (I hope I haven’t forgotten anyone). They are all exceptional, made us feel great, always greeted us warmly, were very pleasant and just terrific. At the spa, Antonio who was on the beach set us up with our first massage, was very pleasant and worked very hard. Gabrielle (Gabriela) and Jessie (Yesenia) who did our massages, also my husband had an different person on our last massage because Jesse had a day off were absolutely fantastic, gave great massages, took their time to make sure we had an excellent experience. Also Maro and Yani and everyone at the spa did an outstanding job, were just terrific. We had our candellight dinner in our room on our balcony, and Gaspar and Zandra Miron took excellent care of us and did an outstanding job. Augutin was our house keeper most our stay and he always did a fantastic job and went far beyond all of our needs. I want to give a special review on Gaudalope, the hostess. She always greeted us with a smile and very warm reception. She tried very hard to remember our room number and food allergy. She is a very special person, so warm, friendly, nice, beautiful smile, just a really terrific lady. We always enjoyed seeing her.
