Agriturismo Borgo San Martino

What a beautiful place, with a view of the mountains and a small town below perched. The rooms had in floor heating, and they were so wonderfully furnished. The hosts of this beautiful place were so accommodating for our large group of 13, and prepared a great meal the night of our arrival, my only disappointment was we didn’t stay longer! Warm and attentive hosts, lovingly restored hotel with garden and beautiful location! Our stay was peaceful and perfect overall. We were excited about our stay at Il Portone and the experience exceeded our expectations! The dinners were 4 courses of homemade pastas and desserts with local meats, wine and cheeses. We also enjoyed the homemade bread and yogurt at breakfast. The room had a view of the mountains and is very clean and comfortable with amenities. We had a car so from Il Portone we took day trips to explore the Maiella national park, the trabocchi coast, Roman ruins of Alba Facens as well as the beaches of Pescara. One of our party lost their bag with passport, credit card, etc and through our host's efforts, were able to recover it. Absolutely wonderful location, accommodation, meal, and hosts.

Our stay at Il Portone was amazing! It's a little tricky to get to, but with GPS we managed just fine! Part of the charm of staying at an Agriturismo is that you're out in the country! The view was spectacular! And it was so quiet that you could hear a pin drop outside. Our room was awesome! And it had a private entrance. If you are able to, make reservations for the evening dinner. It was fantastic! You would have never thought that you were eating on an Agriturismo patio, and not at a fancy restaurant!! Their breakfasts were also very good! Homemade and such a variety! My husband and I also enjoyed their cats and dogs that roamed around the property!

We reserved the entire place for our 12 family members in the off-season (Thanksgiving week in November) and it couldn't have been more perfect. Gorgeous location. Delicious food. Welcoming hosts. Easy access to the coast, mountain towns, etc. The rooms were exactly what we had hoped for. Charming and cozy. The views from the property were gorgeous no matter if it was raining or clear--you could see snow-capped mountains, the Adriatic, and distant towns. Church bells echoed in the hills. The dinners we enjoyed were plentiful, leisurely, and delicious. Lots of wine to go around, too! Homemade ravioli, pastas, various local meats and cheeses, meat courses--it was just all amazing and the price was eye-poppingly low compared to what we would have been paying in the United States. One of the other charming parts of the stay were the various pets/animals that would welcome you. Outdoor kitties that appreciated belly rubs, a couple of dogs who appreciated ear scratches, and we even saw a wild boar dart across the road one evening as we were heading back from a tour. If you're looking for something off the beaten path that feels completely comfortable, leisurely, and welcoming, you've found your place!

Ambiente familiare, ottima struttura posizione ottimale che permette di raggiungere in poco tempo tutti i luoghi di interesse.

Soggiorno magnifico in questa piccola bomboniera. Location: situato in una contrada fuori dalle vie principali, è perfetta per godere di un'ottima vista e tranquillità, con tanto verde intorno. Camere: struttura sapientemente recuperata e restaurata, con impianto riscaldamento a pavimento che fa sentire sempre a casa. Camere rustiche ma molto confortevoli, con tutto quello che serve. Servizi: colazione e cena nella zona comune, con tutte le prelibatezze preparate da Donatella, grazie alle squisite materie prime prodotte da loro, e l'ottimo servizio di Gianfranco. Torneremo sicuramente, ancora grazie ai proprietari per la calorosa accoglienza e il servizio impeccabile

Abbiamo passato la nostra vacanza in questo agriturismo in Abruzzo precisamente ad Abbateggio, non ci sono abbastanza parole per ringraziare Giancarlo,la dolce Antonella e Lorenzo...famiglia deliziosa che soddisfa in ogni modo la sua clientela...ci siamo sentiti coccolati in ogni senso...ottimi i loro dolci,i loro piatti tipici locali,la pulizia impeccabile....la struttura è bellissima,la nostra camera era molto silenziosa e magica....la nostra bimba Claudia è stata benissimo anche in compagnia dei dolcissimi cavalli e di Zeus il cagnolone dolcissimo. Giancarlo ci ha spiegato da subito tutti gli itinerari da fare per visitare i posti incantevoli del territorio abruzzese. Ci sarebbe da scrivere molto di più ma ci vorrebbero piu' caratteri😁Grazie veramente di tutto,uno splendido punto di riferimento per le nostre mete abruzzesi....Consigliatissimo per grandi e piccini❤️
