We really enjoyed the our short stay here. We got he suite room with the private bathrooom and was great. Everything is clean and very well organized. Two minutes walk from the helicopter ride. We have enjoyed cooking on site. There’s a big shared kitchen well equipped, fridge available to store stuff. In case nearby and walking distance several options for dining. Strongly suggested.

We arrived around 9pm ish and the property was quite dark. The reception desk had a note stick on the door indicating our room assignment. We had booked 2 rooms, but unfortunately, both had bugs (moths) in them. Since we arrived late, there were no open stores or restaurants nearby, not even a convenience store. We found a nearby bar online that was advertised as being open until 1am, but when we called, they informed us they were closing early due to a quiet night. However, they were kind and prepared some chips, samosas and spring rolls for us, which we appreciated as it was our only option for dinner. For future guests arriving late, I highly recommend advising them to purchase food in advance.

Clean and spacious apartment. Interesting the kitchen is together with sleeping area. Food smell actually hard to ventilate out. Kitchen amenities slightly worn out but still can be used. Our poor luck as the clothes dryer in the laundry room is faulty. We dropped coins for twice and still damp, so no choice we packed up in car and travel on. Own car pouch Infront of apartment. Contactless arrangement for check in. Love the quick response from host. This is certainly the best Accom to stay in if you drop by for Fox Glacier Hike.

I got upgraded to another room so I was thankful for that ! The room smelled a bit (moldish) even though the guests already there had opened the window but by night, it got better. Otherwise, the room was big and had a heater which was really convenient. I was happy to see a sink in the room but it wasn't usable unfortunately. I thought it would have been nice! The kitchen is well equipped, there are books available in the dining room! Emplacement is very good, close to the train station and a few activities.

This accommodation is good for a 1 or 2 night stay. There are no restaurants within walking distance, but only a few minutes drive. Our room was clean, the beds not overly comfortable. Laundry room is available.

The hotel in Haast captured the essence of rugged beauty and tranquility. Surrounded by dramatic landscapes and pristine wilderness, it provided a true escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The cozy rooms and comfortable amenities offered a welcome respite after a day of exploring. The knowledgeable staff provided valuable insights into the local area, enhancing the overall experience. the hotel was a hidden gem in the remote and untouched Haast region.

a very nice hotel in franz joseph. the receptionist was kind enough to give us an upgrade as our original rooms were upstairs and there's no lift services. we ended up in a room on the ground level with o lovely fireplace with a microwave and comfy sofa. free parking on the premises itself and we were very happy with our stay there. there's a restaurant just minutes walking distance away but the town is not big so every thing else is just a few minutes drive away.

Leider war unser Zimmer von einem anderen Gast belegt. Die Rezeption hatte schon zu, konnte telefonisch aber kontaktiert werden. Es ließ sich klären und wir bekamen spontan ein anderes Zimmer, gleich Größe. Das Zimmer hatte aber eine nicht verschließbare Verbindungstür zum Nebenzimmer und es hatte einen Geruch wie in in einem Altenheim. Die Lüftung im Bad war so laut, dass es durch das ganze Haus dröhnte. Geschlafen haben wir dann aber doch unerwartet gut.
