MMellie CWe so thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Sensation Sagrada Familia. The location was superb - metro, supermarkets, and places of interest were all within walking distance. The view of Sagrada Familia from our apartment was jaw-dropping. The fully-equipped kitchen allowed us to enjoy a home-cooked Christmas meal. Looking forward to staying here again!
TTài khoản kháchOne of the best location in Barcelona. It is the center of many tourist spots and there are many restaurants, cafes, shops near the hotel.
And room was very clean and well-maintained. The pool area was also very relaxing and the staffs were very kind, especially a man at the bar.

From the pictures and the previous reviews everything seemed like it was too good to be true...
Arrival was average, had to ask which way to go to get to my allocated room (normally you are directed by a member of reception atleast)
Arrived at my room (104) 1st floor.
Opened the door to a bright airy room..my first thoughts were this is lovely.
Dropped my bags and took a shower and that's where things started to go downhill...let me explain...
Now I am aware this is not 5 star but if im being totally honest I have stayed in cleaner 2 star hotels...
The attention to detail from the cleaners is just way below par for a 4 star establishment.
Shower door covered in limescale (easy to put right with a bit of Elbow grease)
Mold and nasties around the outer edge of the shower door (see pics)
Splash marks all over the tiles at the side of the sink (like old toothpaste marks)
Sink wouldn't drain properly (seemed to be blocked)
Skirting boards definitely hadn't been given a wipe for a good few weeks/months
All standard/basic stuff that you would expect from any hotel and certainly from a 4 star one or am I being picky?
Then there was the call to reception to ask for some milk so I could make a coffee (kettle is provided in room)
Receptionist said they don't have fresh milk only 'powdered sachets' of the most vile tasting milk I've ever had (think baby milk/gone off normal milk)
Apparently the restaurant was closed so they could not access it to get some fresh milk?
Receptionist advised me to go to the supermarket..which is a 25 minute walk from the hotel 🤦♀️
As it happens there is a coffee machine outside the reception entrance so I found myself nipping downstairs to buy one from there. (Not the most convenient but we move forward)
I had read that there was a rooftop restaurant in the flyer as advertised but when I asked about it apparently it is no longer there?
The restaurant is only open at breakfast times so no food is available not even snacks? However they advertise room service so unsure how that works?
Outdoor pools closed which is fine but you couldn't even sit on the loungers hence....nowhere to sit outside the hotel itself.
Such a shame that all these little things build and in turn let it down as a 4 star advertised hotel.
Now for the positives...
The view from the room of the sea is beautiful
It is literally across the road from miles of sandy beaches
There are a couple of lovely restaurants nearby that are open from 12 noon for brunch/dinner and reasonably priced.
The area itself is super quiet and feels safe enough as a solo traveller.

La entrada y llegada a la recepción un poco lenta. Grandes grupos que dificultan el check in y únicamente 2 personas en recepción.
El acceso al parking estrecho y poco señalizado. El coste es de 18€ la noche, algo excesivo, pero las plazas son amplias

We have confirmed it with the reception and the restaurant manager three times which they check the record is including breakfast so we do not go to the coffee shop round the corner of the hotel to have our breakfast Which is more cheaper than the hotel So when you live in this hotel, beware of the charges
TTravel-HolicThis was the finest of experiences I have ever had at a hotel.
Even before our trip had begun, the holiday vibe had already started, 2 weeks prior to our flight.
A member of hotel reception staff at the B&B in Sant Cugat, a beautiful soul, a lady by the name of Maria Faatemah had won us over with her swift responses to our queries and concerns. The more we responded, the more our mind and hearts were at ease.
Always polite and courteous with so much manners and always ready to help us with whatever we presented her with.
2 weeks fast forward - We were welcomed with her sincere wholesome smile and she already knew who we were as soon as she saw is approaching the reception desk. This is someone who is connected with herself and showed is compassion from the get-go.
She served us as though she was the leader and she didn't let us feel uncomfortable even though we didn't speak much Spanish.
She showed us to our room and told us to feel free to ask her should we need anything.
We had a slight situation with our air-condition unit and within 10 minutes she had that resolved by giving us an extra room until the maintenance man fixes the A/C.
The second room was beautiful and I slept their for 2 days and it was a great experience.
Faatemah called taxi's for us, ordered food for us, she translated Spanish to English and she even guided us towards the best tourist spots. It really felt like she had gone above and beyond, at no extra cost.
Even the kids were saying they wanted to buy her something as a thank you present for her amazing service and beautiful mannerism.
Faatemah was incredibly professional, compassionate and offered such a lovely service that we all fell in love with Spain (Barcelona) and would love to go back, just for experiencing this service again.
Faatemah is much more than a lady behind the reception desk and I hope you all the best in the future and I hope you progress to become something bigger and better and that others are also receptive enough to appreciate you.
Thank you Maria Faatemah for being such a wonderful host and your hospitality is so very appreciated.

TTài khoản kháchVery good location, lots of restaurants near by and within comfortable walking distance to attractions including Gaudi’s well known church, the Basílica de la Sagrada Família.
Room is good size, with separated shower and toilet. Room attendant is very nice. We stayed 4 nights and may reserve it again if we’re going to Barcelona in the future.
The only downside is the elevator is a bit smaller.
TTài khoản kháchWe had rather a long wait to check in and were not acknowledged by the staff on reception who were dealing with two other guests checking in. There were five staff behind the reception desk but it took a good five minutes maybe longer before anyone attended to us!! This did not feel like the best start but our check in was then done quickly and efficiently but not what I would call a warm welcome.
Our room was on the sixth floor and was nice and clean. The beds are really comfortable and apart from the half the tv channels everything worked fine. I was surprised there were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room considering this is a four star hotel.
The pool area was also a little disappointing.
TTài khoản kháchGood location, walking distance to Passeig de Gracia, near bus lines to bring you to the tourist sites within Bcn. Room size, bed, amenities are all well maintained.. Customer service/front desk were helpful but some employees need some improvement. Always remember that their guests are mostly tourists, asking the same questions.. I felt frustrations sometimes when they answered to some of questions/inquiries.. Overall, I will stay again in this hotel and can recommend it too.. Should I lower my expectations next time??
AA.BuessAmazing hotel, less people, not crowded beaches. If you’re searching for food there are plenty of restaurants which you can try different variations of food. The hotel is clean, rooms are big with a balcony where you can drink your coffee or tea. At the evening admirer sunset. What we didn’t like that they didn’t make a refill of coffee and tea, we should have asked the staff. But the rest was fine.
