About Untouchable. . .Brandon Cartwright was a rich guy worth a couple billion bucks—inherited, of course—meaning he hadn’t worked a day in his life. So when Brendan Cartwright is executed in his own home, the cops quickly conclude that he was most likely killed by one or more of the rich, powerful people he partied with. A Kansas City native, JB Dickey vowed during his first PNW winter in Eugene for grad school that he’d never stay past the two-year program. That was 1981 and he’s rusted into this corner of the country. He’s done many jobs – bartender, taught painting, jazz dj, residential construction, hardware cashier – and was owner of Seattle Mystery Bookshop for all of the 27 years of its murderous history.
