Join us at the beautiful Innovation Center for an evening of creative inspiration, connection -an Immersive Art Experience. Danya Katrina, Artist, presents the documentary, “JustBreathe” and the gallery “The Art in Her.  Expect to be inspired by a unique sound journey, amazing door prizes, delicious snacks live musical and dance performances. Ages 13+ welcome! Plan to be immersed by all five senses and enchanted by the power and wonder of Film and Art. Doors open at 6pm , film screening begins promptly at 6:30. This event is supported by Telus Storyhive and in mentorship with the Canadian National Screen Institute.
About the film - “Just Breathe,” is a documentary about a filmmaker’s quest to help herself and others heal and grow through the power of creativity. Danya’s journey leads her towards somatic practices such as breath-work, sound healing , EFT Tapping, Prayer and Meditation. After discovering a local program structured to help empower teens, Danya discovers a transformation in her own healing journey. During the film, we hear from other inspiring women who use their own voices and stories to become beacons and leaders for others. This film is not just a documentary, it’s a complete Art experience that takes the viewer on an unexpected, beautiful poetic cinematic experience of hope and creative healing. There are no coincidences just signs and meaningful messages that help lead us back home. Home to the people and places where we feel most free. 🦋 With special guest , singer / songwriterGracie Field, (2025 winner of Kelowna's Got Talent) and elite dancer Eva Rishi.
About the Gallery During the making of this film the “ Art in Her,” was created with love and a deep passion to encourage a curiosity around our creative spirituality. Danya believes by sharing our stories, we have the ability to transform, grow and ignite the light in others. Inspired by Danya's own healing journey, the ancient I Ching Philosophy and a little felt doll named Dani. Each inspirational hand drawn work of Art has an original poetic message and has also been developed into a 64 inspirational card deck! Twelve of the images from the card deck are presented in a gallery exibit in the foyer of the Innovation Center from April - June 30 2025.
