Current OPAL schools meet to discuss the practicalities of developing your playtime as an OPAL school, to ask questions and connect with others on the same journey.
Times are subject to alterations of up to 30 mins. Attendees will receive an email confirming times in the week preceding the event.
About St. Matthew's C of E Primary School
St. Matthew's C of E Primary School is a 400-pupil church school. They started their OPAL journey in the summer of 2022 and achieved their platinum award in autumn 2023.
Their play offer is outstanding, ensuring every child has a fantastic playtime every single day.
The school has a large loose parts shed, a huge sandpit, a double decker bus and a meadow where children can explore the natural environment every day. The play team supports the children's risky, adventurous, and creative play. The school is committed to continually improving their play offer, led by a fantastic OPAL working group - and helped by their supportive parents and local community.
Additional information
Parking is very limited. Cars are unable to park within the school car park. There is on street parking nearby, and it is a short uphill walk from Surbiton station. Tea and coffee will be available but lunch will not be provided.
We keep numbers small so please get in touch if you can no longer come so we can release your place to another school.
