Come and be a part of the April Community Crochet Day at Meadowridge Library in Madison. This event is organized by the Madison Public Art Project (MPAP) as a way to engage the community in creating the next fiber flower for the Wildflowers of Wisconsin mural. The mural, designed by fiber artist Kiersten Darling, aims to connect art and community by inviting neighbors to participate in crocheting floral elements for the artwork. Workshop artist Sapphira Afifi will guide participants in creating the Swamp Milkweed flower using provided yarn supplies and crochet hooks. Individuals of all experience levels are welcome to attend, with children accompanied by adults. Advanced crochet enthusiasts are encouraged to register in advance. If you cannot attend the workshop, you can still contribute by following the pattern provided and sending your completed flowers to the MPAP address by the end of the month. This free event requires registration to secure a seat and project materials. Mark your calendars for Thursday, April 18th, 2024, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at Meadowridge Library.
