The 2023 FAMU Sports Hall of Fame Enshrinement Ceremony is a highly anticipated event that will honor the new class of FAMU Greats. Taking place on September 22, 2023, at 7:00PM, this prestigious ceremony will be held at the FAMU - Hansel Tookes Student Recreation Center in Tallahassee. This year's Enshrinement Weekend holds a special significance as it pays tribute to the late Kenneth "Ken" Riley, a revered student-athlete, coach, and administrator, who was recently inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

The ceremony will recognize several exceptional female athletes, including Brenda R. Fogle, a star point guard from the 1980s Rattlerette teams, Teresa Jenkins, a dominant women's hoops center known for her shot-blocking skills, Nakia Linson, a two-time Track and Field All-America athlete, and Kenya Pereira, a highly accomplished softball pitcher who has been named the MEAC Tournament MVP three times.

The male athletes being honored are Patrick Bonner, a record-setting quarterback from 1998, Willie Brown, a hard-hitting gridiron defender from the 1980s, and Terence Hinson, a track and field phenom. Additionally, Dr. Janelle Baker, a former Lady Rattler Softball player, will be recognized as the Financial Contributor of the year. A special tribute will also be given to Bishop Hollifield, the former FAMU General Counsel, whose instrumental efforts led to the Rattlers achieving Division I-AA status in 1978.

This year's ceremony promises to be a festive and memorable occasion, held in the facility named after the founder of the FAMU Sports Hall of Fame.
