11am Somatic Yoga, with Hot stones and Nada Yoga (sound healing)

Somatic Yoga is slow and gentle and predominantly floor-based with bolsters & blocks (All Supplied).
Somatic Yoga helps to build a deeper understanding of our Mind, Body, & Soul. This incredibly soothing class empowers you to work in partnership with every part of your being, learning to foster feelings of self-compassion, connection, clarity and a sense of expansiveness within your body. The session will close with a soothing sound healing.
During class, you will be invited to place hot basalt stones on specific energy points on your body to help melt tightness and tension, easing aches and pains.
What to expect
The class will include a fusion of sacred practices, including meditation to cultivate inner awareness, Pranayama, gentle breath cultivation, and Supporting the release of energy, tension, and tightness held within your body.
No experience is required. This class is fully floor-based, and bolsters and blocks are provided and chairs if mobility is limited. All you need is comfy clothing, a water bottle, a blanket, and a pillow for extra comfort. We have spare yoga mats if you don't have one.
About your teacher Scott
Scott Hutchison-McDade is a renowned yoga and spiritual teacher who is celebrated for his ability to break down barriers and teach from the heart. He shares an inclusive and multifaceted approach to yogic science. Scott empowers his students to actively seek inner peace and joy through a blend of ancient practices drawn from a rich diversity of cultures and belief systems. Creating a systematic approach to emotional, physical, and spiritual wellbeing. Scott's classes are immersive, taking participants on a journey of the senses through sacred sound, meditation, and a focus on downregulating the parasympathetic nervous system. This approach supports students in disconnecting from the outside world to recharge, rest, and reset.
In 2021, Scott was named the Favourite Wellness Influencer at the Health & Wellbeing Magazine Awards. He has been featured in several national and international publications.
Scott is the founder of the Centre for Positive Change, a multi-award-winning yoga and wellbeing centre located in the heart of Scotland. He has recently launched Positive Change with Scott, a new venture that focuses on yoga and wellbeing retreats, events, meditation teacher training and continuing professional development (CPD), as well as conscious communication Scotts heart-led business coaching.
