The hotel’s location was very convenient and central to everything we wanted to do, which made getting around easy. The staff were friendly, helpful, and the rooms were well maintained. I appreciated that the sheets were changed daily, although housekeeping did not sweep the floors every day. One concern was the corridor, which sometimes smelled like **** and trash, and this occasionally made me feel a bit unsafe. This could also be because I am not familiar with the surrounding environment. The gym is very small. Overall, the hotel itself was pleasant, and the staff provided good service, but improvements to cleanliness and hallway maintenance would make the experience even better.

This place is absolutely amazing! If you're planning to take the City Sightseeing bus in Cape Town, you must stay here—there's a stop right in front! The location is spotless, with a stunning ocean view in front and Lion’s Head right behind you. Personally, the breakfast here was outstanding. It gave me a sense of peace and comfort that even luxury hotels rarely provide. If I get the chance to return, I’d love to stay for over a month!

Great location for the airport and airport shuttle available at an extra cost. This was beneficial as I had a very early flight. Room service could have been better as it took a long time for my order to arrive (I was informed because they were busy) and the chips had gone cold by then . I just ate the meal as I was hungry but may have sent it back in other circumstances

The staff at this hotel is absolutely excellent, and has been mostly the same group of friendly, helpful, funny people for the last few years. I stay here every time I come to Cape Town. It's quiet and restful, with a stunning view over the city. The public areas are comfortable and well-suited to reading, drinking coffee, and getting some work done. The only problem is the showers, which can be a little tricky and sometimes don't have hot water.

The hotel location is the best, so close to the conference place and can walk to V&A waterfront around 20mins. Or you can take a hop on hop off bus to go around cape town, the bus stop also very close tho the hotel. But honestly the hotel is not really clean, but the room is big enough! Better ask for nee renovated room, the old one is really old, you won’t like it. And better bring your own slippers and teeth brush, cause the hotel didn’t provide but you can pay hotel to get one. The breakfast is just ok, but there is a burger king near the hotel. And need to be careful when go out, especially during night time.

My wife and I recently escaped to Arendsrus for a quick breakaway, and it was absolutely amazing. If you are looking for a place that feels ”off-the-grid” and immersed in nature without sacrificing luxury, this is it. The setting at the foot of the Outeniqua Mountains is spectacular. The wooden chalets offer a sense of total privacy and a ”wilderness” vibe that immediately makes you forget the hustle of daily life. The attention to detail is top-notch, especially the 800-thread-count Egyptian cotton sheets—it’s clear the hosts care deeply about guest comfort. The absolute highlight of our stay was the a la carte breakfast served directly to our room. It was delicious, beautifully presented, and allowed us to enjoy a slow morning soaking in the views from our balcony in total peace. The hospitality was warm and genuine, and the entire atmosphere is one of tranquility and refined rustic charm. It truly is a hidden gem on the Garden Route. We left feeling completely refreshed and can’t wait to go back!

The hotel staff were so helpful and friendly. It felt safe with the fingerprint and face recognition. The location is convenient and secured. The room was clean and spacious, esp for the cost. It is worth it. Great views from the room and rooftop! Highly recommend. Will definitely stay there again if ever I’m re visiting Cape Town. 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

Had a great time. Id definitely come bsck here. Decent breaky spread including a salad bar, scrambled eggs or omelette. Plus cereals pastries anf fruit. Room was tidy. Had a safe. Gym was excelldnt. Staff were do lovely too. Security guys were super helpful. You take a uber everywhere pretty much so this was a great base. Although did walk to shops and few attractions.

DDaliBrasilUKGreat Stay for a Convenient & Comfortable Airport Stopover I stayed at Hotel Verde for just one night to catch my early flight, and it was the perfect choice. The location is incredibly convenient, and the shuttle service was punctual and easy to find ~ making my airport transfer stress-free. My room was very comfortable, and I was lucky enough to have a lovely view of Table Mountain, which was a nice bonus! The restaurant exceeded expectations ~ both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and the service was excellent. The staff and shuttle drivers were all friendly and accommodating, which made my short stay even more pleasant. Considering the free shuttle, complimentary breakfast, and overall sense of safety (especially important as a solo traveler), the price was definitely worth it. I’d happily stay here again before a flight and would recommend it to other travelers looking for comfort and convenience.

WWT88DoubleTree Cape Town - Upper Eastside was a wonderful experience! The hotel was spotless, and the staff were genuinely warm and attentive. From check-in to check-out, everything was smooth and professional. The location was convenient for business meetings, and it’s just a short drive to major attractions. The room was modern, comfortable, and well-equipped for a productive stay. The amenities, including the gym and restaurant, were excellent. I really appreciated the delicious breakfast and, of course, the signature warm cookie on arrival! TTài khoản kháchLovely stay at Pepperclub - recommended. We chose to celebrate a big milestone in South Africa to create some very special memories. We toured from Joburg, through Nambiti to Durban and then onto Cape Town, and we booked Pepperclub to have a pampered end to our trip. The location is great, near Bo Kaap, local markets and safe to walk around. We had no problem getting where we needed to go. The hotel is very clean including the communal areas, gym and of course the rooms. However, housekeeping was more 4* - simple requests like extra blankets needed to be chased, and the turndown of the room happened every day but was inconsistent (sometimes the bathroom was cleaned and restocked, sometimes not). Similarly, the service was inconsistent even through the reception/concierge was always well staffed - Godfrey always greeted us enthusiastically, and there was another duty manager that was very diligent and followed-up well. However, when Godfrey was not on shift the welcome was more muted, and the staff on reception weren't exactly warm and not always efficient. Restaurant staff were always very warm and friendly. Breakfast was great - with good selection of buffet and a la carte options served swiftly. Lunch options were good too, and room service was efficient. Spa was excellent with very good massages and treatments. The Gym is good, though a little small, and for clarity the pool is not heated (but is beautiful). We didn't get a chance to try the private Odeon cinema, but they only had older movies not the newer ones found at public Odeon cinemas. Great views of Table Mountain and Lions Head from the rooms. The hotel were able to grant our special requests of early check-in, inter-leading rooms and they dressed the room and provided cake and bubbly to celebrate our anniversary - lovely touches. You won't regret your stay, but you may not be compelled to stay again.

JJason2023Pros Great location - a short drive to the waterfront and close to Table Mountain, Lions Head and the Botanical Garden where Uber will get you there quickly and for a good price. Staff were very good Breakfast was cooked very well and with good quality ingredients and a varied selection. It would be better if they had soft bread rather than the heavier one provided (althouh this could be a more European variety i havent come across before). The room was homely, as is the whole building (a bit of a British Grade 2 listed building kind of feel). Nice views over capetown in some rooms and a mountain view from the back. Room has heating and air con for all seasons. Cons As mentioned in a previous review, the room is quite dusty so if you are messing around with plugs behind the bed or tv, it's a challenge not to breathe in the dust. I think this could be a SA thing rather than the hotel itself but they only provide 1.5l of water which for a week is not enough, even for a solo traveller. You have to pay for any more. I have never come across this in 25 years of travel across 35 countries but again, i know there is a water issue in SA sometimes and I believe the tap water is drinkable (although I wouldn't attempt this as a tourist). Bathroom towels not replaced - just left to dry which doesn't work particularly well in winter. The photo of the hotel being near blue water is a little deceptive - obviously it is not near a beach and they don't suggest so but the body of water across the road is a water storage facility (currently empty) so don't expect tropical views. Having said that, if you get a city view room, the sunrise is right in front of you and a perfect time lapse opportunity as the scenery changes dramatically during the sunrise. Stunning experience. Overall, I would stay again and recommend the hotel which is in a quiet location.

JJulian PeensThis bed and breakfast is in the ideal location to visit Simon’s town and its coastline however the actual set up of the bed and breakfast is a huge let down. We arrived to find our room was not ready, once it was the place still looked unkempt, there was a bucket in the bath, the furniture had not been returned to its original locations well and the complimentary items seemed used. On our second night there was load shedding a common occurrence however there seemed to be no precautionary measures taken and we had to use our phone lights to climb the three flights of stairs to our room only to find the rechargeable light (obviously for such occasions) had no batteries and was therefore useless. As South African citizens we fully understand the uncertainty of power but for the cost and normal clientele of this accommodation we really expected there to be more in place. The meal times had been adjusted for the convenience of the staff who were on the premises compared to the welcome sheet details we received on arrival. The whole place seemed to be being run by support staff with no obvious manager on site for the three days we were there (we stayed over a weekend which I would assume to be a prime time) There is about 4 parking sports in front of the building but they were not being used to their full potential and often we had to park a little further away. Overall the location was the main positive. Considering the price we would have hoped to have better amenities and hope that the profile for this accommodation can be amended as there are no pools on the property unlike what the description had lead us to believe. Luckily the charm of Simon’s town and the beaches made up for the serious lack of attention to detail and luxury you would assume a place this price and in this location would have. 3/10 would probably not go there again.

OO.N.AThe Westin, Cape Town, is an old hotel, but it continues to maintain its presence, quality, and some high standard in Cape Town. We stayed here for 8 days, during a friend's 60th birthday celebration event in Cape Town. We occupied an executive room and were also given access to the executive club on the 19th floor. The room was very nice, with good linen, bed of high standard. That said, we had to lodge a complaint on the hurried nature of how our room was cleaned on our second day of stay. The bed was not made properly, the carpet floor wasn't clean, and the bathroom was half cleaned. It's not good for a 5-star hotel. After complaining, the housekeeper made amends, and the cleaning standard was raised to the highest standard for the duration of our stay. We also ordered food from room service and half of what we ordered were not brought - they gave us something else, but after waiting for 45 mins for the original order to be brought to us we reluctabtly accepted the wrong order, ate the food and then lodged our complaints later. The breakfast buffet was alright, but there weren't great selections of cold meats in the cold meat section. They really need to improve on this. Lastly, the overall service delivery by some of the staff really need serious improvement. Some of the staff in the restaurant are way too loud when talking to each other, and some of them even give out bad unwelcoming and nonchalant attitude/vibe to their customers. It is like they feel that they're doing us, their clients, a favour by serving us. Not good enough for a hotel of this standard, abd some of those staff need to be retrained. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at The Westin and we will definitely come back there when next we visit Cape Town.
