My recent two-night stay at The Jewel Hidden Valley was nothing short of wonderful. Nestled away from the hustle and bustle of the city, this serene and culturally rich retreat provided the perfect escape. From the moment we arrived, the warm hospitality of the staff made us feel right at home. A special mention goes to ”Julie” and ”Zhang Kai Yi” (if I remember correctly), who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. Despite the rain, they selflessly helped us with our luggage all the way to our villa—a gesture that truly touched us. Zhang even took the time to personally walk us to the Tong Guan Kiln, which was about 8 minutes away, sharing interesting insights along the way. Their kindness and attentiveness were truly impressive. The hotel’s design and layout are stunning, blending seamlessly with the natural surroundings while maintaining a luxurious feel. Our villa was spacious, well-appointed, and immaculately clean, with high-quality amenities and toiletries that added to the comfort. Breakfast was another highlight—the spread was extensive, offering a variety of delicious options that catered to different tastes. Every dish was fresh and flavorful, making it a great start to our days. Overall, The Jewel Hidden Valley exceeded my expectations in every way. The peaceful ambiance, outstanding service, and attention to detail make it a hidden gem worth revisiting. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a quiet, culturally immersive getaway!

Location is excellent, walking distance to all the shopping streets and easy access via taxi or DiDi to other attraction places. Service staff are friendly and helpful. However, room temperature is centrally set at lowest 23 degree celcius. I felt stuffy and warm in the room as the temperature in the room was usually around 24 and I prefer cooler temperatures. There is no point adjusting the control panel to lower or cooler temperatures as it doesn’t work. Though we were assigned to a non-smoking room but we could still smell cigarette smoke smell, probably due to the centralised air-conditioning and bathroom ventilation exhaust. Porridge supper was not interesting - porridge was not hot and the condiments were salted egg and 3 local pickles; with steamed local “siew mai” and “pau”. Do can skip as there are many many interesting supper places near the hotel.
