I stayed at Muxi Garden Homestay for 8 days. The room is clean. The site manager is nice and accommodating. I asked for wonton for breakfast, she made it for me. The outdoor is nice. The location is close to my destination.

The place is quaint and cosy, especially the hallways and the building, the rooms are a bit more basic. It’s a foreign Shanghainese villa, so the atmosphere is there. Despite the area being very quiet there was a droning noise so I couldn’t sleep, they said it was from the water heater on the roof. The staff was very kind and understanding and they moved me to another room without any problem. Really big points to the staff and the vibe of the place! Another thing, if you’re staying there during winter, the AC was not enough to warm up the room, it was quite cold.

From the moment I arrived—greeted with a thoughtful late-night airport pickup—I felt like I was part of an extended family rather than just a guest. The rooms are exceptionally clean and comfortable, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Each morning began with a delicious and thoughtfully prepared breakfast, which gave me the perfect start to the day. What really sets this place apart is its peaceful, beautifully designed environment. It’s a quiet sanctuary—a perfect escape from the hectic pace of daily life. Whether you’re in Shanghai for an event, work, or simply to unwind, I can't recommend this homestay highly enough. It truly felt like a home away from home.
