A unique cafe with a unique charm in BKK
A very unique cafe located inside the Mustang Blu hotel in Bangkok old town. The cafe is housed inside an old building with very cool design and aesthetics. There is a minimum order per person and each person will need to order at least two items. It is a bit pricey though. On average each drink is around THB 300 and cakes are around THB 400. The most unique bamboo resort in Bali
When in Canggu area, a place to stay with eco-friendly environment has to be the one and only Ulaman. The environment is super cosy and serene with two pools, a yoga hut, tennis courts and also ample of greeneries and paddy field. Our villa is located on the top floor with a nice view of the paddy fields. Breakfast is included and nightly rate is around HK 4000. Staff is super polite and friendly.

Because the Champa people faced threats from the Khmer Empire in Cambodia, other ethnic groups in Vietnam, and even from the Chinese, they needed protection to defend their kingdom.
In the end, though, it was the Vietnamese who gained control of this region in the 11th century and forced the Champa to move south, closer to Nha Trang, although their leaders managed to maintain the temple complex for a couple more centuries.
This is one of the most beautiful site too!

The My Son temple complex was built between the 4th century and the 14th century. It was the central worshipping centre for the Champa people who had five kingdoms in the surrounding areas.
The Champa had come from Java in Indonesia and brought with them their Hindu religion. My Son was dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva.
The god Shiva was the bringer of the wishes of the Champa people and the thing they wished for most was fertility. They wanted to grow their population because of the more people they had the stronger they would become.

Ritnakala cafe, located around the lake and mountains in the Kintamani area.
The conditions in the afternoon are already very cold here, when I went there at 5 in the afternoon the view of the mountain was covered in fog, but when the mountain was visible, the view was very beautiful.
The variety of food and drinks is not much, but the taste is really delicious, the quality of the food and drinks is top. Being here was very impressive for my wife and I while on holiday in Bali. I met a cousin when I was little who lived around here.

Copenhagen Bakery Bali
Back in Copenhagen, they have great coffee. Both black and white, both according to taste, typical bold coffee with the right acidity. You could say one of the tastiest piccolo at the beginning of this year. Accompanied by carrot cake which is no less delicious, the perfect accompaniment to a relaxing coffee while watching the tourists passing by. Not suitable for WFC, unless the laptop battery is full and (still) lasts a long time. *ifyouknowyouknow*🙂

Acme Bali
Anyway, in this small cafe, apart from the cakes and bread they make themselves, they also roast their own coffee. The choice of cakes is quite diverse, to the point of confusion. Finally ordered lemon thyme cake and chocolate cake (GF) for a friend's Iced Americano to quench my thirst during the chaotic afternoon in Pererenan. Actually, when I thought about ordering a manual brew, for some reason what came out of my mouth was actually Iced Long Black. But yeah, that's okay. The cakes are delicious, especially the chocolate cake. The combination of sweet (not too) & bitter chocolate is just right. And for the coffee this time, the Iced Black is the one that suits my taste rather than the white (- Piccolo).
It turns out it's true, caffeine and sugar intake is necessary to reduce grumbling. Looking back at the street, which was a little more relaxed, and this time with a smile that could already be seen. 🙂🙃

Baro Bakery
It's called a bakery, of course various breads and pastries are the main sales. The choice fell on Lemon Meyer Kouign-Amann and Snakefruit Galette, which he said were two typical French pastries that were best sellers there. Compared to the Kouign Amann (which of course tastes quite good), personally, the Galette Salak is more impressive. Processing local exotic fruit is always interesting, especially when executed into delicious fusion dishes. Both are suitable as accompaniments to coffee which are surprisingly no less delicious. Yes, even though it's quite touristy, it's worth a try if you're in this area. 🥧 ☕️👌🏼

Seru Coffee Bali
Actually, it's normal for wabi sabi styles. However, the touch of rustic cum imperfection on the smooth white walls that have been broken into is not a personal taste. Which has actually been promoted by quite a lot of modern cafes in the past few years. And practically every time I see something like that, I always frown and say, "Why?" in the heart.
But, yeah, who am I to judge? Haha.
But overall, the place is quite comfortable. The space is not too big, just medium, but there is still distance between one table and another. The banana cake is a spongy type. A bit surprised, because I usually eat banana cake/bread which has a slightly denser & moist texture. But the taste is not bad, especially as an accompaniment to americano, so it's just right.

The Craft
Looking at the menu, it turns out there is quite a lot, both for food and drinks. Again, for a split second I froze because I was confused. The choice fell on the Nashville Chicken Burger which was the recommendation. I don't know why lately there's been a craze for Nashville kinda things. Even though the pastry choices are no less tempting.
If it's coffee, it's definitely basic.
The coffee is delicious. Seeing that the choice of coffee beans used is well curated, the resulting blend must be delicious. Even for the Chicken Nashville Burger. Although for the Sundanese tongue, the taste is not as spicy as it is advertised. But it's personal taste. Or maybe there is a choice of the spiciest level (?).
Another signature is canned coffee. For basic coffee drinkers, it turns out their sparkling coffee is not bad. Although it cannot be denied: sweet. But it's okay to try once in a while. As for the next one, surely, they have delicious piccolo & it's worth a try.

Teke Coffee
Honestly, from the start there were no expectations. Especially because the Iced Americano uses a cup. I prefer glasses for dine-in, so there's not a lot of waste. But it turns out the coffee is delicious, full arabica from Kintamani with the right acidity & fruity, suitable for personal taste. It's not surprising because it turns out the coffee used is roasted from Second Floor Coffee, which is just across the street.
The only accompaniment to coffee here is pastry, which, although not much, is enough. There are several croissants, banana cakes, brownies and cinamon rolls to choose from. As a banana cake lover, what they have is delicious. The texture is soft and the banana really tastes, not just plain or even artificial. Anw, good coffee and delicious pastry will always be a perfect match for each other, right?

Ubud Coffee Roastery
After some time away, finally one afternoon in mid-April we greeted coffee & crowds again. While listening to Ben Howard's new song, walking around observing the center of Ubud which is again flooded with tourists, new shops & cafes, the art market which is almost completely restored and of course the noisy traffic. Even though on the one hand you have to swallow your anxiety about the crowds deeply, there is a little relief in seeing the traders reunited with their fortune.
The weather is indeed hot because the dry season has arrived early, perhaps a sign to stop for a moment to reap the rain. So we stopped for a moment to stretch our legs and take shelter from the hot sun at the new place, Ubud Coffee Roastery [Jalan Goutama], which is not far from the old store, just turn around for a second. The face is the same as the branch on Sayan, but with more space. Sitting on the semi-open second floor turned out to be quite cool & comfortable with a more ergonomic table for laptops. Plus, sipping a cup of delicious coffee always manages to soothe your sometimes never-ending tiredness. Happy Monday, happy diving into cyberspace! 😛

Traveling around Sanur in the morning in an effort to breathe air with fewer emissions - which is just a paradox, because the return trip is still by driving. But, yes, at least hearing the whisper of the waves, looking at the vast & blue always returning can emphasize sugar. Before rushing home, stop for a moment at the newest branch of Bull's Coffee in Sindhu, Sanur. Even though there are quite a lot of stores, this is my second experience after my first visit to Negara. The coffee is as expected, typical medium & light and tends to be too liquid. Honestly, flat white is not a personal taste. But at least the bagel still didn't disappoint.

Eikan-dō Temple, fall is here!

Eikan-dō Temple(永观堂) is one of Kyoto’s most famous autumn colour tourist spots and the evening illuminations that take place in fall. Autumn colour have has been started during late October and we went on early November. The temple has a long history and there are several of buildings and a pond garden. The first building enter is the Shakado (Hall of the historical Buddha) with a small rock garden and beautifully painted sliding doors. Eikan-dō's most recognizable building is its Tahoto Pagoda which is nestled in the trees on the hillside above the temple's other buildings.
Hours and admission fees:
9am to 5pm (entry until 4pm). Autumn Illuminations from 5.30pm to 9pm (entry until 8.30pm) from early November to early December.
Admission fee is 1,000 yen for the autumn colour season during the day, while admission to the evening illuminations costs 600 yen.

Crowned as the most beautiful bookstore in Venice, Alta Acqua Libreria was created by Luigi Frizzo in early 2000s. This bookstore is hidden so deep inside Venice and it took me awhile to be able to locate this instagrammable medieval-themed bookstore. In here, visitors may find the uniquely arranged books that stacked up like stairs whenever acqua alta phenomenon flooded Venice several times a year.

Still around Ubud, this time a bit down to the Peliatan area. There is an artisan tea shop that has just opened in the Sukma Kesuma area. Not bad, after parking in the central area and walking all the way here to have beautiful tea in a place where every corner has an aesthetic that is no less beautiful - with a dominant earthy color that gives a warm & relaxing feel. While unwinding & welcoming September cheerfully in the style of Vina Panduwinata, even though her face is starting to turn gray, a sign of the changing seasons. The choice of tea is varied, not only a blend of tea leaves but also flowers combined with various herbs, each type of which is served in beautiful tea pots and cups. There are several small snacks, sweet and savory, which you can choose as afternoon tea accompaniments to relax your day and your heart.

Finally it happened and stopped by this tiny café in Umalas, whose face had changed and was said to be opening a new branch in the Berawa area soon. The original intention was to just stop by to buy flowers, because we happened to be having coffee next door. But, yes, discourse is just discourse. In the end, we always look for justifications in our heads, like, "How come you don't drink coffee in a coffee shop." Moreover, seeing that there is a manual brew option with guaranteed Hungry Bird beans in the barista's precise mix. A warm and delicious cup of Aceh Gayo is a shame to miss out on to liven up a quiet afternoon, while chatting trivially in a cliche coffee shop scene. Surely all the tiredness will gradually disappear plus bringing home a few sprigs of carnations will practically make you feel happy again.

The combination of delicious coffee, sweet things, and the expanse of the blue sea is indeed the best to provide a break from discourse that often creates chaos. And this time I had coffee at the market and on the beach. Yes, there is a mini cafe that has just opened in one of the stalls at the Kuta Art Market. Actually, I have never had the chance to visit their main house in Denpasar, because there is minimal mobility in that area, even though I have long been tempted to see their cake choices via social media. So this was my first experience and it turned out to be quite enjoyable. The coffee is not bad, plus a slice of carrot cake to match it, which is also said to be one of their best sellers. It's delicious, the texture is soft and the combination of flavors of cinnamon, raisins, cream cheese & nuts is balanced. It's just that overall it's a bit sweet for me, whose sweet taste is slightly below average. Just a little, especially when accompanied by Iced Black, it's still ok. BTW, the place is really small so it's not for WFC, but it's for relaxing coffee while watching the really strong foreigners sunbathing in broad daylight.

In the afternoon that was gradually fading that day, I tried to go around the Sanggingan area - looking for a quieter atmosphere in Ubud and stopped by this place. In the past, when I passed by several times, I wasn't really sure whether it was really a cafe or not because of the name it carried. Yes, because the Powder Room in the room category is like a small bathroom for guests who want to touch up their make-up or get ready, so they don't have to go to the owner of the house's private bathroom. Maybe the cafe, which is still part of and is located almost next door to Room for Dessert, wants to provide that experience. Like a stopping room to get ready before entering their main house, Room for Dessert, which is more explorative & imaginative. A more relaxed experience in a space that appears with a mix of vintage-rustic style, with a variety of sweet snacks that are more familiar to everyday tastes – once again compared to the r4d menu. Because it was my first time, I was advised to try their botanical bomboloni, the choice fell on mulberry & ricotta. The bomboloni is fluffy, with a topping & filling that is a delicious mix of sweet, sour, fresh, typical berries and savory salty ricotta cheese, the perfect accompaniment to a glass of Iced Black or piccolo made from artisan coffee beans that rarely goes wrong and certainly succeeds every time it is executed well.

In one Sanur, after fulfilling the needs of the steps, inhaling the salty and salty Segara specialty that is sometimes missed, looking far away at the Giri which was dimly covered by clouds, watching the fishermen pull over their jukung - as a sign of returning from their routine, and the mix between tourists and local residents who Each one enjoys the beach in their own way. Meanwhile I pulled over to another fisherman, a cafe in the Karang Beach area that I often passed by but this was the first time I had approached it. A cafe that always looks calm and serene even in the hustle and bustle of Sanur tourism. Simple but with enough boho details & gives an elegant impression. As for the coffee, this time the white is more suitable than the black which tends to be too light for personal taste. Maybe, please correct me if I'm wrong, the beans are either a mixture of Arabica & Robusta or even full Robusta, so it's more balanced and the nutty taste comes out more when mixed with white. But, yes, back to taste and fortunately accompanied by delicious baked apple frangipani tart and of course the calming expanse of the blue sea. Although sometimes I like to refrain from drinking coffee on the beach because it is too touristic, it is not uncommon to have coffee with views of rice fields and even mountains, which is the same in terms of tourism image. Yes, we often live in double standards. Haha. But yes, it's okay to romanticize this tourism paradise once in a while, to see another perspective or just to relax. Especially for people who keep chasing after who knows what, sometimes they forget that life is enough.

Day after day drinking coffee, I accidentally found a new cafe in Pererenan. The name is, Day by Day Coffee - which fits the context of the attachment of us coffee fans, whether as a love, lifestyle, addiction or yes, a need for content (?). Haha. A familiar quote in this tourism paradise is emblazoned on one side of the wall "A Day in Bali is Better Than Anywhere Else" which can be said as a prayer or as thanksgiving. The indoor tables with pink ceramic combined with wood are quite eye-catching in addition to the large windows that surround the space, as a medium for direct observation of the definite development of tourism and the remaining green spaces. The coffee is quite comfortable with a house blend made from Missibu. What you don't forget to order here is the banh mi with a taste that is quite above expectations, simply put: delicious.

Starting the new month apart from interesting shows & love songs of course with delicious coffee, balancing reason with banal news. Back to exploring Sanur to this small coffee shop. Located in the middle of the quiet Jalan Cemara, which is not as busy as the main streets of Sanur, but this place, which is thick with shades of turquoise, is never quiet. I once tried to marry you, but I didn't find a soul mate because of the inevitable fullness. Apart from the fact that the space is small with only 4 tables, the indoor area is also small, but naturally, it turns out that the coffee, which has a strong character, is really delicious. Plus, if you buy coffee here, you can get pastry (butter or chocolate croissant), the definition of delicious coffee at an economical price.

Pavilion Hotel Kuala Lumpur ✨
Definitely one of the best exclusive hotel I've stayed in. Room is extremely clean. Bed and pillows are very comfortable. Traffic sound is minimal, faint sound of those loud exhaust cars and motors can be heard occasionally.
Rooms are well appointed, and the housekeeping was one of the fastest in response time that I have seen.
Asked for more bottled water and it was at our door within minutes. The staff are generally nice and friendly, especially the concierge and security staff.
Great location connected directly to the pavilion mall.
I will definitely be staying here again in the future when I visit with my family.

Honestly the single greatest hotel stay we think we will ever have! Every second detail was absolutely incredible and we could not recommend this place more for a luxury stay in KL. Great location, easy to get in and out of the city near to the Petronas Twin Towers and city center.
Excellent customer service from a staff that is warm and supportive. and beyond to make you feel welcome and assist you with everything. The price for the bedroom that I stay is a bit pricey but worth it for having a good time holiday.
Our room was perfect, with an amazing view of the Patronas towers and just all those little touches that made it feel like home. Of course the pool is also incredible and gives an amazing view of the towers too. Very recommended for those looking for high class hotel in Kuala Lumpur.
