Top 10 Dining Experiences of My Life🇪🇸
Fismuler in Barcelona offers an excellent dining experience without any arrogance.
The food is EXCELLENT - fresh Catalonian seafood dishes that are creative, yet simple and unpretentious such as a razor claims steamed on a bed of stones or the shrimp tartar.
The interior decor and ambiance are also noteworthy; dark and elegant, yet communal and inviting; this a great place for a date or casual business dinner.
Of all the restaurants I visited during my trip to Barcelona, Fismuler is the only establishment that I still dream about and this is what good chefs and restaurants should strive towards.
A truly delicious, affordable, and elegant experience.

Montjuïc Castle Barcelona 🏰
#familytrip
My recent exploration of Montjuïc Castle in Barcelona was a captivating journey through history set against a stunning backdrop. Perched atop the Montjuïc hill, the castle commands panoramic views of the city and the Mediterranean Sea, providing a breathtaking introduction to its rich heritage.
The castle's historical significance is palpable, having witnessed centuries of transformations. Initially built in the 17th century, it served various purposes over time, including military functions and later as a prison during the Spanish Civil War. The informative exhibitions within the castle narrate its multifaceted past, making the visit both educational and immersive.
The highlight was undoubtedly the expansive terrace offering postcard-perfect views of Barcelona's skyline, from the bustling port to the distant Tibidabo mountain. The surrounding gardens and walkways added to the charm, creating a serene escape within the city.
Nearby attractions include the Magic Fountain of Montjuïc, a mesmerizing spectacle of light and water, and the Joan Miró Foundation, housing a remarkable collection of the artist's works. The cable car ride from Montjuïc to Barceloneta Beach provides a scenic descent, completing the Montjuïc experience.
In summary, Montjuïc Castle is a must-visit, combining historical intrigue with breathtaking vistas. Its central location and proximity to other attractions make it a pivotal stop for anyone eager to unravel Barcelona's diverse tapestry. #spain #barcelona #vacation
La Pedrera-Casa Milà 🇪🇸
#familytrip
My visit to La Pedrera, or Casa Milà, in Barcelona was a spellbinding journey through the genius of Antoni Gaudí. Located on the iconic Passeig de Gràcia, this architectural masterpiece stands as a testament to Gaudí's avant-garde vision.
The undulating stone facade of La Pedrera is a mesmerizing dance of curves and unconventional shapes, making it a hallmark of Modernisme. Exploring the interior, I was captivated by the fluidity of design, with every corner revealing Gaudí's meticulous attention to detail. The rooftop, adorned with surreal chimneys and whimsical sculptures, offered panoramic views of Barcelona, making it a highlight of the visit.
The Espai Gaudí exhibition within the building provided invaluable insights into the architect's life and creative process. The courtyards and the iconic ironwork were additional features that showcased Gaudí's nature-inspired design philosophy.
Situated in the Eixample district, La Pedrera's central location made it a gateway to Barcelona's cultural treasures. The nearby Casa Batlló, also designed by Gaudí, and the high-end boutiques on Passeig de Gràcia added to the allure of the neighborhood.
In conclusion, La Pedrera is not merely a building; it's a symphony of art and architecture that immerses visitors in Gaudí's revolutionary world. A visit here is an essential odyssey for anyone captivated by Barcelona's artistic and cultural heritage. #barcelona #spain #vacation
Balmes Hotel - Barcelona
Balmes hotel provided us a nice and pleasant experience. The hotel had a really good location, it was located in the heart of Barcelona. It was very close to the famous Passeig de Gracia and some iconic landmarks like Casa Batlló and Casa Milà.
Regarding the staff, they were very kind and friendly. The room was very comfortable and clean.
The hotel’s pool and gym were very small. Also, there were only a few sun lounger which all were occupied by other guests so we couldn’t enjoy the terrace at all. If you are a person who enjoys larger pool, it is a consideration to keep in mind. But overall, we have a great stay.

3 amazing days in Andorra
My trip to Spain was the best opportunity to visit Andorra. This small country is located between France and Spain. I traveled directly to Andorra by bus via Barcelona airport (Directbus and Andbus companies have direct buses from Barcelona airport to Andorra la Vella). The cost of a bus ticket on this route is 34 euros. My trip to Andorra is for March 2023 and the prices listed in this guide are all for that period. The place where you get off the bus is the central bus station of this city and from this point you can walk everywhere in Andorra la Vella. My hostel, Barri Antic Hostel & Pub, was only a 7 minute walk from this bus stop.
Accommodation in Andorra is much cheaper than in the cities of Spain and France. For example, a double room in this hostel with private bathroom cost 30 euros per night. This was the same price as a bed in the dormitories of the hostel I booked in Barcelona.
Best places to visit in Andorra:
Casa de la Vall , Placa de la Rotonda and Noblesa del temps, Caldea Spa and Madriu-Perafita-Claror valley
If you spend a night in the mountains, you'll save €30 (the price of a double room in a hostel for one night) and now you deserve to enjoy three dreamy hours at the Caldea Spa. I will not forget this small but very beautiful country, and if you have a trip to Barcelona or the South of France, you should not miss this opportunity.

As you step through the entrance, you're transported to a bygone era. The elegant cloister, with its delicate arches and slender columns, is a masterpiece of medieval architecture. The church is a serene place for contemplation, adorned with beautiful stained glass windows.
The museum within the monastery provides a fascinating glimpse into the lives of the nuns who once inhabited these walls, showcasing their art and daily life.

Barceloneta Beach, Barcelona 🇪🇸☀️🌊⛱️
#timetotravel
We visited the Barceloneta Beach the morning on our last day in Barcelona, it was such a shame that we did not have time to fully enjoy the beach (swim and tan). But it’s okay, next time I will be back.
My friends and I were walking from one end of the beach to the other and it was then we realised the beach is massive!!! This is amazing so that visitors are more spaced out and the beach is less cramped with visitors.
When we reached the end of the beach, we entered a restaurant called Opium Barcelona (which is also a disco club at night). We ordered a seafood paella and it was MASSIVE (see pic 5 of my friend’s head for comparison), we definitely did not expect the portion to be so big hahahhaa. Considering the portion, the restaurant is reasonably priced.

Yet another Gaudi attraction in Barcelona 🇪🇸🔔⛪️
#timetotravel
La Sagrada Família is a magnificent, forrest inspired church by Gaudi.
We booked tickets (with tower visit) 2 weeks in advanced but the guided tours were already sold out!! What in the world 🙄, so be advised to book really realllly in advance.
Although we couldn’t join the guided tour, we downloaded the official app on our phone which gives audio guide to different parts of the church. This feature is amazing!!!!
Before our visit, we read about the dress code and thus we dressed quite modestly (no tank tops and shorts) but turns out they don’t really care and we saw loads of other tourists in revealing clothes…
We booked the tickets with tower visit and we had to put our bigger bags into one of those lockers by the door. We were transported up to the tower by their lifts and it was a very futuristic moment!! However, I would say the tower visit is a let down because the church has ongoing constructions and the views are blocked by the scaffolding…
Note: we also had to go thru security screening before entering the church but they do allow food and drinks so don’t be too alarmed!

Another Gaudi attraction in Barcelona 🇪🇸!!!!!
#timetotravel
Magnificent architecture with mosaic tiles in a massive park. Gaudi is definitely way ahead of his time!!!
Definitely be prepared you will have a long walk because the individual attractions are quite far apart from each other. It is advised to bring plenty of water and an umbrella if you can because it is not shaded.
Note: remember to get tickets in advance because the attraction is really busy and tickets do get sold out!!

Casa Mila — a must visit attraction in Barcelona 🏠🏛️
#timetotravel
Casa Mila is absolutely phenomenal, Guadi slays!!!!
The museum offers free audio guide (available in many different languages) to tourists visiting Casa Mila, so that visitors can visit at their own pace, and at the same time, learn from the history and story behind the architecture.
I personally really love the interactive element of Casa Mila as it gives me a lasting memory of Casa Mila, e.g. the massive sculptures on the roof of Casa Mila (pic 1 and 5) are soldiers/ warriors that used to “protect” the family staying at Casa Mila. i’m
I wasn’t planning to visit so I did not book tickets ahead. Although I managed to get tickets at the door, do not learn from me because you have to queue and it costs €3 more purchasing at the ticket office 🙄

An excellent and fun morning at Park Güell
Park Güell is a private park located in Barcelona near La said and El Coll neighborhoods. If you are staying in Barceloneta or Barcelona Center, I will suggest you to get the metro L3 and get off and the Lesseps or Vallarta stops, which is 20 mins walking to the Park. Unfortunately, you do have to pay do get in the park. The cost of the ticket is 10 euro and it will cost extra to visit Gaudi house located in the park. I have researched a little bit and I saw that there are some ways to get into the park for FREE, however, since I was there for short time and it was a last minute plan I didn’t have time to sign up for a free entrance! If you’re curious to know how to get there please contact me!
TIPS: wear comfortable shoes, bring some cash(there are many vendors selling cute items), and carry a hat!

Camp Nou ⚽️
For me, visiting the Camp Nou exhibition was an incredible experience. It was fascinating to immerse myself in the rich history and heritage of FC Barcelona.
Walking through the interactive displays, I learned about the club's humble beginnings, witnessed their greatest triumphs, and gained a deeper appreciation for the legendary players who have graced the pitch. The multimedia presentations and artifacts added a tangible and immersive element to the journey, making it feel like I was a part of the club's remarkable story.
Even though I may not be a devoted fan, I could see this would be meaningful for fans. Would recommend for those who loved football, or snooze like I do.

Barcelona City
Our visit to Barcelona was short lived. We spent around 7 hours here, and needed many more! With so many iconic and inspiring buildings, this place certainly has a lot of history.
Gaudis' work, alongside many others can be seen all around the city with some outstanding architecture.
The tourist tour on the bus was our choice for the day. This offers 2 routes, covering various areas and landmarks across the city, with a jump on and off feauture allowing people to hop off at areas they want to explore and visit and then simply hop back on to move onto the next landmark.
The city is very crowded, and there are a lot of pick pockets. So I advise to only take what is needed with you on your visit. Allow plenty of time and ensure you know where you need to return to, as there are many stations and entrances which can quickly become stressful.

When people mention Barcelona, they may immediately think of Sagrada Familia, the largest unfinished Catholic Church and Gaudi’s most famous work. Pictures simply cannot do it justice - when seeing the church from the outside, you may first be struck by its enormous size, then as you get closer, you will be awestruck by the intricately detailed artistry, and once inside you will marvel at the colors and otherworldly structures. Skiing in Spain
The skiing season comes to an end so we decided to enjoy a last rest of the snow in Spain by going to La Molina Ski resort. La Molina is a ski resort in the Pyrenees mountains of northeastern Spain. It has everything we can dream of. Suitable to all levels everyone will be happy there .
Accommodation, food and all other ski amenities are appreciably cheaper here than at most resorts in the Alps. Add in delicious Spanish Pyrenean food, very good value
wine and a lively feel at the main resort bases after the lifts close and not only can you have an enjoyable time here, but it won't break the bank either
