Fuente Farola is very underrated!
Next to the Seville cathedral is the Fuente Farola. It is a beautiful plaza that features a fountain ⛲ in the middle. It is located next to other key landmarks like the Palacio Arzobispal so you can visit when touring these major landmarks.
Just across the road you will encounter lots of Seville 🍊 orange trees that make for beautiful photos. You will also see vendors selling their wares and art pieces.

Seville cathedral is absolutely historical!
Seville cathedral is one of the largest churches in the world, and it must be one of the most beautiful! It was consecrated over 500 years ago and is a UNESCO world heritage site.
Inside the cathedral are also the remains of the famous explorer, Christopher Columbus and his son. Entry is 11 euros for adults, and that includes entry to La Giralda too. Spend at least one hour wandering around and viewing the stained glass windows.

Montjuïc Castle Barcelona 🏰
#familytrip
My recent exploration of Montjuïc Castle in Barcelona was a captivating journey through history set against a stunning backdrop. Perched atop the Montjuïc hill, the castle commands panoramic views of the city and the Mediterranean Sea, providing a breathtaking introduction to its rich heritage.
The castle's historical significance is palpable, having witnessed centuries of transformations. Initially built in the 17th century, it served various purposes over time, including military functions and later as a prison during the Spanish Civil War. The informative exhibitions within the castle narrate its multifaceted past, making the visit both educational and immersive.
The highlight was undoubtedly the expansive terrace offering postcard-perfect views of Barcelona's skyline, from the bustling port to the distant Tibidabo mountain. The surrounding gardens and walkways added to the charm, creating a serene escape within the city.
Nearby attractions include the Magic Fountain of Montjuïc, a mesmerizing spectacle of light and water, and the Joan Miró Foundation, housing a remarkable collection of the artist's works. The cable car ride from Montjuïc to Barceloneta Beach provides a scenic descent, completing the Montjuïc experience.
In summary, Montjuïc Castle is a must-visit, combining historical intrigue with breathtaking vistas. Its central location and proximity to other attractions make it a pivotal stop for anyone eager to unravel Barcelona's diverse tapestry. #spain #barcelona #vacation
La Pedrera-Casa Milà 🇪🇸
#familytrip
My visit to La Pedrera, or Casa Milà, in Barcelona was a spellbinding journey through the genius of Antoni Gaudí. Located on the iconic Passeig de Gràcia, this architectural masterpiece stands as a testament to Gaudí's avant-garde vision.
The undulating stone facade of La Pedrera is a mesmerizing dance of curves and unconventional shapes, making it a hallmark of Modernisme. Exploring the interior, I was captivated by the fluidity of design, with every corner revealing Gaudí's meticulous attention to detail. The rooftop, adorned with surreal chimneys and whimsical sculptures, offered panoramic views of Barcelona, making it a highlight of the visit.
The Espai Gaudí exhibition within the building provided invaluable insights into the architect's life and creative process. The courtyards and the iconic ironwork were additional features that showcased Gaudí's nature-inspired design philosophy.
Situated in the Eixample district, La Pedrera's central location made it a gateway to Barcelona's cultural treasures. The nearby Casa Batlló, also designed by Gaudí, and the high-end boutiques on Passeig de Gràcia added to the allure of the neighborhood.
In conclusion, La Pedrera is not merely a building; it's a symphony of art and architecture that immerses visitors in Gaudí's revolutionary world. A visit here is an essential odyssey for anyone captivated by Barcelona's artistic and cultural heritage. #barcelona #spain #vacation

Balmes Hotel - Barcelona
Balmes hotel provided us a nice and pleasant experience. The hotel had a really good location, it was located in the heart of Barcelona. It was very close to the famous Passeig de Gracia and some iconic landmarks like Casa Batlló and Casa Milà.
Regarding the staff, they were very kind and friendly. The room was very comfortable and clean.
The hotel’s pool and gym were very small. Also, there were only a few sun lounger which all were occupied by other guests so we couldn’t enjoy the terrace at all. If you are a person who enjoys larger pool, it is a consideration to keep in mind. But overall, we have a great stay.

The colorful beachfront restaurants, known as "chiringuitos," offer tantalizing seafood paella and refreshing horchata, creating an authentic culinary experience.
What truly enchanted me about Malvarrosa Beach was its connection to the city's culture. The most spectacular monument in Europe
Plaza de España, Sevilla
1.
Address - Av. Isabel la Católica, 41004 Seville, Spain
Highlights - Flamenco dancers, canal, architecture
Rating - 5/5
The Plaza de España was inaugurated in 1929 as a space for the Ibero-American Exposition of the same year.
Now it’s a spectacle of light and majesty, framed in the Maria Luisa Park.
While the locals mainly visit the park to relax, jog or walk the dog, Plaza de España is mainly visited by tourists (domestic and foreign).
It has become a frequent «ritual» for national visitors to be photographed in front of the space dedicated to their province of Spain with the beautiful decorated tiles.
Under the arches you can usually find local artists, especially Flamenco dancers and singers, typical Sevilla.
And if you’re feeling romantic, you can row a boat in the canal. Bear in mind, it is quite an effort.
TripAdvisor users have rated it as the most spectacular monument in Europe and the second most spectacular in the world.

La Concha Beach, San Sebastian 🏖️

La Concha Beach in San Sebastian, Spain, is a coastal masterpiece that left an indelible mark on my memory. Stepping onto its immaculate crescent of golden sand, I was immediately swept away by the stunning scenery that unfolded before me. The bay, framed by the majestic Monte Urgull and Monte Igueldo, creates a breathtaking natural amphitheater.
What truly sets La Concha apart is its urban charm. The vibrant city of San Sebastian beckons just steps away, offering world-class cuisine, cultural attractions, and a lively atmosphere. Strolling along the iconic promenade, with its ornate wrought-iron railing, was a delightful experience.
The calm, shallow waters make it perfect for swimming, and the sweeping views from the Miramar Palace add to the beach's allure. This hidden gem is framed by rugged cliffs and lush greenery, creating a secluded and tranquil oasis.
What sets Calo des Moro apart is its untouched natural beauty. The absence of commercial development allows you to immerse yourself in the unspoiled charm of the Mediterranean. Snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters revealed a vibrant underwater world teeming with marine life.
The effort to reach this beach is well worth it, as it offers a serene escape from the crowds and a glimpse into the untouched beauty of Mallorca's coastline. Calo des Moro is a true treasure for nature lovers and those seeking a serene beach experience. #ukcreator #spain
Beach of the Cathedrales 🏖️
#beachvacation
The Beach of the Cathedrals, known locally as "Playa de las Catedrales" in Galicia, Spain, is a coastal marvel that left me in awe. As I wandered along its shores, I was greeted by the natural wonders of towering rock formations and arches, reminiscent of cathedral-like structures. The interplay of light and shadows on these massive rocks created a magical ambiance that was truly enchanting.
What sets this beach apart is its tidal phenomenon. During low tide, hidden caves and passageways are revealed, allowing visitors to explore the intricate formations up close. However, during high tide, the beach transforms into a more secluded and serene retreat.
The Beach of the Cathedrals is not only a geological wonder but also a testament to the beauty of nature's architecture. It's a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a unique and awe-inspiring beach experience on the northern coast of Spain. #ukcreator #spain #galicia
Nava del Rey, wine route
To a large extent, the historical development of Nava del Rey is linked to wine production. Demographic pressure and demand for products in the Medinense markets brought with it an expansion of farmland - thanks to the clearing of mountains - and the vineyard became one of the main resources, especially for the production of old or rancid wines. which were exported to the north of the peninsula, a destination that was consolidated in the 17th-18th centuries, the golden age of local wines.
One of the most unknown aspects of the historical heritage of Nava del Rey are the traditional or underground wineries excavated in the clay to store wine. Located below the homes, the more than 400 traditional wineries of Nava del Rey make up an endless number of galleries, canyons, accesses and vents... authentic underground cathedrals built under the homes thanks to the good work of local masons, sometimes called "poceros" or “bodegueros”. In addition, the visitor can learn in situ how a barrel is made at the Burgos Cooperage - founded in 1941 -, a disused craft that survives in the town within one of the two existing cooperages in Castilla y León.
However, in Nava del Rey you can not only enjoy a rich heritage linked to the world of wine, this municipality has resources of special interest at a heritage and ethnographic level such as the Church of Santos Juanes (declared BIC), the convents
of Franciscans and Sacred Hearts or that of PP. redondistas, the hermitage of the Concepción and the Vera Cruz, the Hospital of San Miguel, the Humilladero de la Virgen de la Soledad, the Pozo de la Nieve or its ancestral houses, among many others.
If we talk about Nava del Rey we cannot forget its natural environment, especially the space hosted by the Natural Network 2000 and known as the La Nava-Rueda SPA Zone, which stands out for its poultry population in pine forest land.

San Sebastian, one of the most romantic city
The moment you arrive in San Sebastián, La Concha beach invites you for a dip or a pleasant stroll along the shore, even in winter. The elegance of the bay, framed by the massif of Igueldo and the island of Santa Clara, is known the world over. The city has two other fine urban beaches: if you like walking you can start your stroll on Zurriola beach, frequented by surfing enthusiasts, then skirt round Monte Urgull along the Paseo Nuevo and then go right across the bay to finish on Ondarreta beach. There you are awaited by the Peine del Viento, an impressive large-scale sculpture by Eduardo Chillida and Peña Gantxegi which speaks of the ferocity of the Bay of Biscay.
If the natural settings of San Sebastián are wonderful, the good taste of its inhabitants meant that its bridges, squares and buildings had to be even more so. You’ll feel as if you’re revisiting the Belle Époque when you pass in front of the Victoria Eugenia theatre, the Hotel Maria Cristina or the spa hotel of La Perla.

Majorca, Mallorca, surprisingly aesthetic!
Stayed in Palma Mallorca with a friend. Walked for a nearby dinner at Beewei which was SENSATIONAL- the beef cheeks cannelloni was one of the tastiest dishes I have ever had. Walked to the esplanade to get gelato from Riverside and it was amazing. Vibes everywhere, arty and clean city. Very surprising as expected cheap party centric places but it was classy and nice. Buskers in the square added to the vibe 🇪🇸🏝️🎶💧

Playa de Son Baulo is located in Can Picafort, which is on the North of Mallorca.
It is a lovely, clean beach. We visited in late June and the water temperature is just perfect. However, the water is not crystal clear and there are loads of seaweeds, which is fine because it is natural I guess. It was also interested to see sculptures on the beach.
My friends and I bought a floatie in one of the stores at the beachfront and we had the time of our lives 😍🫶
The beach was quite crowded when we visited, we had to search around for everywhere for available sun beds. My friends and I really enjoyed the cabanas equipped with a small safe and sun beds. They were really affordable as compared to the french beach clubs I had reviewed on in my other posts. I believe we paid ~ 22 euros 💶 between the three of us for 3 sun beds and one cabana.

Barceloneta Beach, Barcelona 🇪🇸☀️🌊⛱️
#timetotravel
We visited the Barceloneta Beach the morning on our last day in Barcelona, it was such a shame that we did not have time to fully enjoy the beach (swim and tan). But it’s okay, next time I will be back.
My friends and I were walking from one end of the beach to the other and it was then we realised the beach is massive!!! This is amazing so that visitors are more spaced out and the beach is less cramped with visitors.
When we reached the end of the beach, we entered a restaurant called Opium Barcelona (which is also a disco club at night). We ordered a seafood paella and it was MASSIVE (see pic 5 of my friend’s head for comparison), we definitely did not expect the portion to be so big hahahhaa. Considering the portion, the restaurant is reasonably priced.

MEDIEVAL WALL BUILT IN THE 1BC 😮🇪🇸
#timetotravel
After visiting the Girona Cathedral, my friend brought me on a walk to Girona’s medieval walls.
Similar to the Great Wall of China, the Girona walls was initially built by the Romans in 1 BC to protect the city; during the walk, I could see small holes where the archers/ soldiers used to be to protect the city from invasion.
I most certainly would recommend taking a walk by the Girona Wall because of its history as well as the panoramic view you can see of the beautiful city.
To walk the entire route, it could take you about one to two hours but don’t worry, there are several exits you can take if you changed your mind/ decide the route is too long.

To all the Game of Thrones fans!!!!!
#timetotravel
When my friends and I were planning our Spanish trip, they insisted on coming to Girona for a day trip. It is because they are Game of Thrones fans and the show filmed some scenes in this town, and this includes the Girona Cathedral and the steps!!
I have never seen Game of Thrones but I equally enjoy visiting the Girona Cathedral because it is a magnificent and beautiful gothic cathedral, it is certainly impressive especially when I walked up the stairs and looked at it closely.
There is also a garden, Jardines de La Francesa located right next to the Cathedral, make sure you visit it as well when you visit!!
