Yangzhou

This is a beautiful city to visit full of parks and ancient temples, old market areas, and very famous for it’s gastronomy. In ancient times, this city was one of the wealthiest in China, so there are many beautiful old and classical buildings, bridges and ancient shrines. You can travel along the Yangtze River with its banks covered in weeping willow trees (especially beautiful at night with the lights and bridges lit up). You can visit the parks, with their stunning gardens and lakes. shopping at the old style markets is fabulous as there are so many interesting arts and crafts and there is great street food to try; it’s great to soak in the sights, sounds, and smells of the street market area and weave through the little streets along the river.
