Giac Lam Pagoda, dating back to 1744, is considered the oldest in Ho Chi Minh City. It is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The pagoda is surrounded by a picturesque landscape, and at the entrance to the temple grows a graceful Bodhi tree, which is considered sacred by Buddhists - it was donated by a monk from Sri Lanka who visited Ho Chi Minh City in 1953.
