Beautiful Harbin Central Street

If there is one street you need to visit when you're in Harbin, it's Central Street, or ZhongYang Lu in Chinese. It's run from Stalin Park all the way through the old town. There is no traffic on this street, so you can comfortably stroll around. You'll find lots of shops and restaurants all in old Russian and Jewish buildings. Some of the restaurants serve traditional Russian cuisine such as Cafe Russia and Tatoc. If you are here in the winter time, you'll find the street dotted with ice sculptures. They're beautifully lit at night, which makes it an extra treat. If you are looking for a place to stay nearby, I would recommend the Mercure hotel that's just a block away.
