What an unexpected delight. Firstly, Zakopane itself and secondly this wonderful 'Highland House'. Our room was full of character and charm and all the little delights you'd expect in a much pricier boutique hotel. The staff and the host we extremely warm and helpful. Freely available coffee and juices downstairs 24/7, and a lovely garden. Just a few yards from the building is one of the main hiking routes. Having recently returned from Ukraine War this was just what I needed. Late night drinks with the owner was an added bonus. The ultimate host! Will return at Christmas if I can get a reservation.
