Mariana Hotel

The room was average as you would expect from a hotel of this price range however the problems began upon arrival when me and my travel companion were spoken to like animals which made both of us feel very uncomfortable having just arrived. After this horrifying long ordeal we were then demanded to hand over 50€ each unlike other tourists that stayed we were returned this at the end of are stay After being told that we would have to pay for air conditioning we decided to see how we would fair without it “we were wrong” after paying the 60€ we we’re presented with remote to use the air conditioning, we followed all the relevant processes and allowed it to run for at least 2 hours however the whole stay we didn’t receive a wiff of cold air we did complain and received a telling off “ ALL OF THE AIRCON WORKS” this was the last time we complained Somehow the clubs with 100s possible 1000s of people in them were cooler In the end we slept with the balcony doors open and woke up at sun rise to close them so I legs didn’t get sunburned at points even slept on the room floor or balcony to cool down Safe to say if I ever do return to the island I would not go near this place However location is ok and in colder weather would be fine (:

Me and 5 other girls stayed here for our girls holiday this summer, we weren’t expecting the best as we had seen the reviews , and we did all have to pay a £50 deposit as reviews say but we did get 200 euros out of the 300 euro deposit we payed back. They do specify when you get there reasons as to why you may not get a deposit back (in our case we brought friends back the hotel on two occasions which meant two deposits got taken) and i personally think the reasons are valid. Some of the rules are stricter compared to other hotels, so i understand why things like jumping in the pool after hours ect… can be annoying reasons to lose £50 however especially on girls/lads holidays, these kind of things can be expected as it’s easy money for businesses. We had friends in other hotels close by and they all had the same rules. In terms of the room, i think they’re in the process of being modernised as our room was quite older fashioned however the rooms on the block next to us looked alot more modern?! The rooms are not the cleanest but definitely not as bad as some reviews are claiming (in our experience anyway). The cleaners do come often and bedsheets and towels were changed regularly. The pool and sunbeds was a nice area, it was clean and a nice area to chill. No complaints really about our rooms or the pool area other than we weren’t allowed to take our water from the room to the pool cause it was bought elsewhere. Air con was an additional cost too, 10 euros a day per room, but again i’ve experienced this in many other hotels i’ve stayed in before , and when your paying a cheap price to stay here, things like that i personally do expect to pay for. As a whole, i would recommend for a girls/lads holiday , maybe not a family holiday as it is located pretty much at the top of the strip (another bonus for us) and there are also some nice food locations near by. The receptionist we found was lovely , we genuinely had a good experience here.

Based on previous reviews , we were dreading our group of 13 ,18 year old lads going . However thought I’d write a review on behalf of them . They all had a blast and had no issues regarding the deposits being returned. Had no run ins with any of the staff .

DO NOT BOOK this hotel if you want to be scammed out of your deposit, My son and his friends stopped here for 1 week and paid a deposit of 200 Euros saying they would get this back on inspection of the room. They have gone to check and they where told that they not get the 200 euro back due to them jumping in the pool after hours - how can you jump in the pool when security guards are there all night - they had no evidence this happened - so you think you are getting a cheap holiday but when you are there they scam you out of money.. Air Con, damages, and after all this the room wasn't cleaned. I am COMPLETLEY disgusted in this - if they dont give everyone their money back imagine how much they make per person per room - extra

My son and his friends went to these apartments and they were as bad as the reviews described. Yes they are a group of lads but they are good and don't cause any trouble - they were either out of the apartment or sleeping! The fridge didn't work. They had been advised off friends who had stayed there recently to not waste their money on the air con as it was barely a puff of air and the smell made them sick. Furniture and chairs were broken, so they had to fix them. The beds were very uncomfortable and the bedding rough as anything. The people running the place were rude and horrible to them. I told them to scout the place and take photos of damage and report it as soon as possible as we all know these places charge each tenant for the same damage over and over. It was in a good location though and he said the pool was fine. They lost 70 Euro of their 200 deposit for a chair they sat on and it collapsed that hadn't already been reported and he said the patio door lock broke but couldn't swear whether it was already like that or not. A bit of a cheek taking deposit off them when the fridge didn't work etc! Drinking warm water with a hangover....! He's taking my advice now not to book places that aren't listed with Tui or Jet2 etc even if they don't book through them, as they have certain standards and this place has too many complaints against it to be listed with them!

literally the worst experience of my life. €30 per night for aircon, €10 per night for wifi and they have signal blockers so no data. Staff are SO rude we were charged our deposit for “tattoo” on the bed but none of us had?? Place needs shutting down. Nobody i spoke to had a good experience and staff are robbing poo holes xx
