Zante Plaza Hotel & Apartments

A wonderful stay, very reasonably priced. Staff were amazing! The food was fantastic, with a wide variety of choices. The entertainment was very good- the Greek dancers were great and had everyone up and dancing. We were upgraded to an apartment on arrival and this was clean and comfortable. The cleaners came every day and replenished towels, made the beds etc. The beds were comfortable and there was adequate space for clothes etc. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and if I return to Zante, this is where I’ll stay.

First I have to point out my review would be a top mark of 5 if it had not been for the inefficiency of the room cleaners. This hotel I believe is family run and the staff are amazing. From check in to check out they are great. As disabled travellers Pedrose at check in came to me to complete everything as I couldn’t stand at the reception desk. A second member of staff took our cases and showed us to our room ,ground floor with a view of palm trees and the pool. The room is a good size with a double and a single bed. Decent wardrobe space and bathroom with a walk in shower. The terrace has patio furniture table and 4 chairs. Decent sturdy plastic. The restaurant was close to our room (more on this later), the food was great something to suit everybody ,always a great choice and always hot,the staff are constantly checking to make sure plenty of it and filling up where needed. From salads to soup you name it and I can not put into words how delicious the deserts are. The barman (I didn’t get his name) NEVER stops he is on the go from morning until night always happy to serve you and he doesn’t scrimp on the alcohol. A really nice bloke. The restaurant staff are on hand to take away your empty plates so you never have a messy table.the hotel itself is very clean ,the floors brushed and mopped regularly and any spills wiped up immediately. However the room cleaners aren’t quite so hot on cleaning the room,we were here for a week and only saw the cleaners once 5 days in when they changed our sheets. As disabled I spent most of my time on our terrace but there was no issue for the cleaners to come into the room and freshen it up. That is the only real negative however there are some suggestions that I think could be beneficial to the hotel. First there are a lot of ramps at this hotel some quite steep and the stairs at the main entrance does not have a suitable handrail for a disabled person to use and feel safe using. The ramp down to the rooms is tiled and used by people in and out of the pool so gets very slippy. There are no rails at all and this is the only entrance and exit from the main hotel to the rooms. It is very dangerous when wet especially when you use a walking stick so maybe something better could be thought out or even just install a handrail. The restaurant is also the bar and there is just not enough tables and chairs to satisfy the needs of all the guests. You have to queue to get a table no matter the time you visit. And can’t really sit for the night having a drink as people want to eat. This hotel is actually over multiple buildings and in the main one there are no snacks available and all the theme nights happen in the other building. Again not suitable for me as I couldn’t walk that far. I think this should be highlighted more for people looking to book. It is in a great position close enough to the strip without the noise but the resort was nearly all closed when we were there in mid October. Outside the hotel is only sunbed

My and my family had a lovely time. All staff are very friendly and amazing. Food and drinks were very good. Rooms were very good size. Beds so comfy Pool was just perfect. Location is great, close to town 1 min and close to the beach 4min. Sending hugs and kisses to Peter and our lovely girls we will definitely come back. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My three friends and I (4 girls!) arrived on a Tuesday morning. When we got there, we were greeted by a member of staff. Staff are very friendly and helpful, which is the only reason there are 2 stars. Upon arrival, we were told our room was not ready, which is obviously understandable seeing the time we arrived. However, there was nowhere secure to leave our suitcases and hand luggage. All of it was just sitting in foyer and definitely could not be seen from reception. We went to get food. The all inclusive buffet is VERY small, and the most they have for very picky eaters is chips. Best you can get as a vegetarian is pasta and salad. If you are gluten free and vegetarian, salad is your safest option every day. When we went up to our room, the floor was dirty and grainy, the shower pole was collapsed and the bathroom floor was soaked. It had obviously just been mopped, but it looked like someone had just tipped a bucket of water over the floor and called it a day. You do not get fresh towels every day, and the towels we received were dirty. When we went back to change them for clean ones, they did give us new ones without issue, but these were also dirty. The bathroom floor floods every time you shower, so we ended up having to ask for an extra 2 towels to put on the bathroom floor to try and keep it dry every day. 2 of 4 of us slipped in the bathroom and really hurt ourselves because of the shape of the bath/shower (it is a half and half- half of it is somewhere to stand, and the other half is almost like a step, so there really isn’t a lot of room to stand.), and due to the horrendous flooding! We were told by the evening receptionist twice not to be loud. Once was on the stairwell, when we were whispering on the way back up to our room, but the other time he just showed up at our open front door (it was too hot to keep it shut, so left it open whilst we were there), and told us we were being too loud! No warning/knocking, and we were not in the quiet hours at that point. We were also on the top floor and at the end, so he had to have come all the way up to our door to hear us to talking. There was a third occasion where he followed us up our room, and when we made it obvious we could see him following us he stopped. We were in the quiet times at this point, but again we were whispering as quietly as we could. (just to make it clear, we did ask the people in the room next to us if we were being too loud and they said they couldn’t hear us at all, so we obviously weren’t being loud!). Did not feel comfortable or safe, as 4 teenage girls!!! The only positive is the staff are friendly and helpful, and it is located right behind the strip, so the location is good for a party holiday! Other than that, the hotel was absolutely disgusting and not worth the price we paid for it! I wish I had taken more photos to deter people from here, but please please do not stay here if you can help it!!!

Rooms are really dirty and room which I get was really small and a lot of ants on the floor. Bar service very rude and unhappy. Reception service was more friendly. We come back very sick from this holiday probably after food in a hotel. Not really recommended this hotel.

Antonia and Poppy must be commended for their helpful and thoughtful attention and this is mirrored in all the staff who were outstanding, my mother has mobility issues so we had a ground floor room so benefited greatly however the mosquitoes bothered us,we don’t know how the hotel could resolve this issue as seemingly island wide during this time of year
