Constantinou Bros Pioneer Beach Hotel

Lovely friendly helpful staff . always greeted with a smile in reception. Food was really good in the main dining room.( Although desserts for gluten free were the same 3 choices everyday ) . As the hotel got busier there was a small queue for the dining room of an evening but dealt with swiftly. The only real negative was the road noise so if you can book a sea view room. The inland rooms overlook the main road. Also it's a long way from the harbour area but buses are very regular but out of season there wasn't any evening service so couldn't go out for the evening to the harbour area. Overall fabulous stay.

So, this our last night of a one week stay. Our second visit to this amazing hotel. We are a couple in our 60's and this is the first time we have returned to a holiday destination for a second stay. We were looking for a week of complete comfort and relaxation and have not been disappointed. From the minute you step into the hotel, the staff can't do enough for you. It was quickly evident that the majority of the staff from last year are still here . I understand that a large number of them have been here many years in fact.... this speaks volumes. They are happy and they like to see their guests happy. Returning here was like returning to family, therefore we were instantly relaxed. Special shout out to Valia, Rooms Division Manager who personally welcomes as many guests as she can. We were treated to a free upgrade to a suite when Valia recognised us from last year! Wish i could list everyone we would like to thank but it would literally be every member of staff here. Cleaning staff, waiting and bar staff, the Tui entertainment team, all go out of their way to make sure everyone is comfortable and happy. The Management team are present and approachable. Really can't rate Pioneer Beach highly enough. It feels like family and we will be back!!

Returned 3 days ago from a lovely week staying at the Pioneer Beach Hotel. I had stayed 2 years ago at the Louis Patheon just up the road and rated it highly. I do believe that the Pioneer Beach has surpassed it. My friend and I had a large double room with a pool and sea view. The large bed turned out to be 2 singles pushed together so we did a bit of furniture rearranging so that we could have our own space. The beds were very comfy with a choice of feather or firm pillows. Rooms were cleaned daily and the bed linens changed after 4 days. More frequently on request. One particular feature of the spacious double closet was an abundance of coat hangers; something you don't always get in some hotels. We were very pleased with the layout and spaciousness of the room and bathroom. We had chosen a B&B stay as we like to patronise the local restaurants and try different menus. However, we ate in the main hotel restaurant on two evenings and were very pleased with the choices and standard of the buffet. Our breakfasts were first class and kept us going until dinner. The pool area is very clean and the staff in that area were very attentive. We noticed that, contrary to what is set out by management in the hotel directory, some guests were laying down towels on sunbeds by 7.30 am. In March, this was not a problem, but I imagine that it could be during the busier summer months. All the hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly and attentive to our every need. There was live music each evening in the Marco Polo lounge but it's small in size so we preferred to listen from the reception area. There are daily activities to sign up to and on our first afternoon we took part in a quiz. However, when we realised that one 'professional quizzers' couple were playing every afternoon we didn't bother to play again. We each had a massage in the spa and we both agreed it was one of the best we'd had. The only downside of our stay was our experience in Pathos Airport for our return flight. It was chaos. The luggage belts kept breaking down and that resulted in long check in queues. Staff had to shout out flights that were boarding so that people could leave the queue and be boarded. When we finally got through to the boarding area, we found that the people serving in the food concessions had little or no English and were rude and unfriendly. The boarding gate information for our flight didn't go up until the last minute which could have been a problem if the Gates had been more spread out and less accessible. All in all, we had a wonderful stay at Pioneer Beach Hotel but are unlikely to return soon unfortunately due to the chaos of Pathos Airport. It wasn't the best experience to end our holiday.

Hotel, staff, service exceptional. Voila who room manager was caring professional & sorted any problems with out fuss. Very good 4 star hotel bordering on 5 star.

We had the most amazing holiday at your hotel. The hotel,staff, food, entertainment just everything was totally memorable. We were sad to leave and we will definitely be back as this has been the best holiday we have ever had. Great weather too which was a bonus

Stayed the first week the hotel opened so was not full. Valia and her staff in reception were so friendly and helpful, could not do enough to make your stay enjoyable. Ana at the bar made the best cocktails even if they were not on the menu. The hotel is spotless and always kept clean. Plenty of sunbeds and waiter service is excellent. All the staff are friendly and helpful. We stayed half board and found the breakfasts and dinners amazing with more than enough choices. The best sunsets from the beach and rooftop bar. Can’t wait to come back again!
