Travelodge Hotel - Yeovil Podimore

We love staying here :) Either for work or visiting the West Country, Podimore is a fantastic local hotel to overnight in or use as a base for a long weekend. Super staff, always friendly and remember us when we arrive, step free access and disability rooms are perfect for my partner who needs good access. Clean spacious rooms, strong shower and relaxing countryside privacy, their soundproofing wizardry means you can sleep in on a Bank Holiday right next to the A303 and not hear a thing! You can also sleep safe with good old fashioned lock and key on the doors, no plastic swipe cards to renew! Car park is safe with plenty of overnight parking, 24h petrol station & surprisingly well stocked restaurants with a Burger King, Greggs & Subway. Ilchester takeaways will deliver including a fantastic Chinese. If you fancy something a little more upmarket dining, Lytes Cary Manor is a 5 minute drive away. Ideal for Fleet Air Arm Museum, Haynes Motor Museum, Bath & West Showground & Glastonbury Festival, Podimore is a great halfway point on the way down to Cornwall. Overnight here, top up fuel and grab breakfast just down the road at Frogmary Farm and Field Café to start your holiday fresh. Highly recommended and 5 stars!

Lovely new refurbished rooms which were comfortable and perfectly clean. A lovely receptionist "Emilia " was present on our arrival and she was very cheerful, enthusiastic and keen to please and show off the new clean hotel...............

I needed a simple, comfortable hotel room with in striking distance of Sherborne and Yeovil. Having tried a number of places Travelodge was by far the cheapest. Going by the price I was not expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. I had a large comfortable room with TV separate bathroom/ shower and complimentary coffee. The entrance hall and corridors were basic but clean and staff friendly. At £40 I considered it a bargin and would definitely go again.

After reading a few negative comments about this place I was a bit wary but I have no complaints. Everything was to my satisfaction. It’s situated close to loads of attractions and services. It’s right next to the a303 but didn’t hear any traffic. Hotel is light and airy. Typical standard room with tv, shower and amenities included. Spacious wardrobe. Bathroom was clean with soap and shower gel included. Clean king size bed. Staff are always friendly and helpful for places to eat and visit in the local area. Only downfall is no sockets next to the bed which isn’t a biggie but the hotel is having a refurb. I would definitely stay here again
