Relax, retreat and recuperate at Hilltop Haven Home in the peaceful countryside of Rimrock, Arizona. Amazing panoramic views, comfortable decor, easy access and centrally located - just 20 minute drive to Bell Rock in Sedona, 20 minutes to Camp Verde & Cottonwood, 2 1/2 hrs to the Grand Canyon. The house is equipped for connection with loved ones in an atmosphere of quiet, peace, and desert tranquility. Pet policy: We allow dogs if they are: well trained and behaved, not allowed on furniture or on the beds, not left alone when you go out, and don’t bark regularly or incessantly. As the owner, you agree to clean up after your dog, and to dispose of the waste in a special trash bin. It’s helpful if your dog is recently groomed and/or doesn’t shed (much). Please ask about your dog ahead of time.  There is an additional charge of $10/night..We allow cats only if they do not scratch or shed. The guest will bring a bed, litter box, and optional scratchng post if necessary, for the cat and there is a $10/night charge. The space:The house has two bedrooms, each with a king bed and the living room has a queen sleeper sofa with a very comfortable memory foam mattress. There is an inviting covered porch with table and chairs for 4 and an additional "view" porch that looks eastward toward Coconino National Forest and the Mogollon Rim. Situated between the dark sky communitites of Sedona and Camp Verde, conditions for astrophotography and night sky viewing are often optimal.Rimrock is a very safe and quiet community, far enough from the busy traffic and high lodging rates of Sedona but close enough to access all the attractions of northern Arizona, including hundreds of miles of hiking and biking trails.The house is cooled by a large rooftop evaporative cooler, which is very adequate for even the hottest days of the summer. Additionally, evap coolers have been proven to be much healthier than A/C units in limiting the spread of the Coronavirus because fresh air is constantly recirculating throughout the house.Some people ask if we have a grill and we do not have an outdoor gas grill due to fire danger. We have glorious cliff views with sunsets and sunrises, which will take your breath away. It is where Vincent Van Gogh may have chosen to paint the starry night and the wheat field in seven different shades if he had lived in America. There is something "wild" about this place - such beauty and serenity here!Please check out our new "Cliff View HACIENDA" upstairs also!The spaceThis Casita has such an amazing view (I hope you think so too), overlooking mesquite trees and cliffs that stand over the Verde River valley. The views are visible from the bedroom window and through the French doors of your own living room and there's private outdoor seating on the veranda patio area, where you can enjoy cold drinks in summer or hot tea or hot chocolate in winter. Welcome nature lovers, perhaps you'll get a visit from the javelinas, a bunny rabbit, or a roadrunner!This unit is all downstairs; we, as hosts, live upstairs. This Casita has a bedroom with a king size bed, a private bathroom, living room, a kitchenette (not a full kitchen- has a small refriger/ freezer, a rice maker, a coffee maker, microwave oven, convection oven, electric water heater, plates, bowls, utensils Etc. & Barbeque grill out on the patio. There's no sink to wash dishes except in the bathroom (dish rack and soap under sink). We are sorry that there's no sink for the dishes, but we know some guests really appreciate at least having the option to prepare simple meals with some basic cooking items. We have many who cook almost all the meals here or barbeque every night. If you don't want to wash dishes, you'd need to bring your own disposable plates & cups just like at a motel.You may hear some noise from upstairs once in a while as we need to live and breathe. We really try to keep our noise down as much as possible. Most of our guests say it is very quiet here. But, if you think not, let's work together to make this a win-win situation! We don't mind if you call or text me, and I will also let you know if you may have music too loud or something. It is unrealistic to think that you will hear no sound at all.Our central heating/ cooling is difficult because everyone is different, but most people have said the temperature was just right. when it is too warm down there, then it gets too hot upstairs.
