I’m only giving this resort 2 stars because most of the hotel staff were friendly and made us feel welcome. This holiday is being advertised as 4star and it is 3 star at best. The lack of hygiene, poor food quality, sewage smell due to a sewage pipe running along the beach, stray feral cats some of which are clearly unwell running around the restaurant area and dirty rooms, toilets and pool area make this the ideal storm for getting ill on holiday. We got to know 4 families during our 10 days at the Batihan and everyone had at between 1-4 people who got sick. My husband was ill with diarrhoea on day 2, my son with sickness and diarrhoea of day 7 and I managed to make it home today with stomach pain and now have it too. The floor in the room had other peoples hairs all over it on arrival, no hand soap in the dispenser and smelt horrendous. My son’s bed camping style was so creaky he had to sleep on a mattress on the floor. The toilet was stained yellow from other peoples urine. Housekeeping waved a mop around the floor and regularly neglected to provide toilet rolls so we had to go to the shops to buy a bumper pack. On our first day someone has been sick across the corridor floor 2 doors down and it was still there an hour later when we came back to the room. The food was like warm, over cooked and left out for at least an hour before the restaurant opened. When it did open there were way too many people tripping over each other to get to the food as there was barely any room. Staff wear rubber gloves which I’m sure protects them but isn’t hygienic for customers where they’re less likely to wash their hands as often. There was a housekeeper looking after the pool area who would wear gloves, sort out the bins and then put his finger into your cup before saying “finished” well we obviously have now you’ve put your fingers in it! Customers are permitted to put their feet up on the chairs in the lobby with shoes on, again adding to hygiene problems. The Spa staff asked for me to pay for my massage up front when booking two days before the appointment. When I went to say I wasn’t happy doing this in case I got sick as my son was unwell the manager and receptionist were incredibly rude and told me to cancel, I didn’t book in again. The worst holiday we have ever been on! Avoid! The only good thing was the animation team who were so friendly and accommodating. Coco and Ruym in particular are lovely people.

After reading some reviews I was actually in 2 minds weather to change hotels but on arrival I was pleasantly surprised , the hotel was clean and tidy, our room was ready on arrival on the 7th floor it was nice and airy a nice view of the pool and sea All the staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough for you I cannot praise them all from our cleaner to the bar staff to the restaurant We loved the sunset bar and restaurant too Would definitely come back Thanks for a lovely holiday

It was very good, the experience was pretty awesome, I'd probably visit again sometime, the people here are very nice, respectful and helpful, i love this place and we'll probably come back

In short, this is the first holiday I've been on where I was genuinely looking forward to getting home. No I wouldn't recommend the hotel and no, I wouldn't return. We travelled as a group of 5 adults and 3 children. First impressions on arrival weren't great. The reception area is very dark and dated, the reception staff were ok but not overly welcoming, there was a cat pooping in a decorative plant on arrival. Check-in was quick. The lifts are tiny and impractical for a hotel of this size. Luckily we were on the first floor so could manage one flight of stairs but we did struggle when we had the buggy. One person and a buggy fills the lift. We had a family room on the first floor. It was spacious with two bathrooms and a huge balcony. The room was modern, clean but not spotless by any means. There were things in need of minor repair and bedding was grubby, a stained duvet and one of the pillow cases had red lip stick on it. There was also left over items from the last family in the drawer. We found the beds comfy and aircon very effective. The room was cleaned daily but not to a high standard at all. Often we didn't have enough towels, bins weren't emptied, balcony was never swept (cigarette butts were regularly on our balcony, we are non smokers so they were either being dropped from above or flicked from the sides). We were struck with a horrible d&v bug whilst there. The children were really affected by this. Our 2 year old threw up in the highchair in the restaurant, despite pointing out what had happened to 3 staff members, no one came to clean the area and crusty sick was visible in the high chair and on the floor the following morning. Another one of my children was very sick during the night. No one was available to come and clean for us. We had to do it with toilet paper. I'd packed my own antibacterial wipes so could do an "ok" job but not having someone available to help with a mop and bucket was so unhelpful. They gave us clean bedding. Obviously the illness created quite a cleanup the following day and the cleaner was extremely grumpy on arrival that there was extra work to be done. She muttered something in Turkish which was probably rude as her face said it all and they still didn't clean the room effectively. Cats are everywhere including in food areas with no desire to remove them. They'll happily hop onto your sunbed and sit in a buggy! Pools : one medium sized pool, a small toddler pool, a medium sized shallow pool with a slide and the pool for swim up rooms. There is also the pool for the 3 big slides. Unless we missed something, the swim up pool is for everyone - not just the swim up rooms. There were no signs saying we couldn't use it. This is probably something to bare in mind if you are booking a swim up room. You won't get private use of that pool. The slides are not open all day - 10:30-11:30, 2-3, 4:30-5pm. The pool areas are kept clean thanks to one guy who works incredibly hard. Sunbeds were an issue in August.
