Having read some of the reviews, particularly those about the food, I was a little worried that I'd potentially booked the wrong hotel. Have to say this wasn't the case. Check in was quick and we were given a helpful A4 sheet to give us all the basic info. We were also served a delicious cold lemon drink while we filled in the registration documents and our passports were checked. We changed our pounds to dinars at the hotel desk at the same time and were given our room key. Our cases were quickly taken from us and carried by one of the staff although we could have easily managed them ourselves, but this tends to happen in all the hotels we've stayed at so we just tipped him at our room - 5dinars is an acceptable tip by the way. So far so good, all the staff we met along the way were lovely. The room was very spacious. We had a junior suite with a sea view and the view was lovely. Our balcony was very spacious and we had a table and 2 chairs. I was a little disappointed that we didn't have a daybed on the balcony as was shown in the TUI images, but it wasn't a big deal. Bed was comfortable and the pillows were also very good. One very soft and squishy and the other just a little firmer. There was a separate area for clothes and the fridge/kettle/safe were all in this area. The fridge came with bottles of water, coke, beer, a lemonade drink similar to Sprite and Orange Fanta. These were replenished each day and, as we didn't drink the full sugar coke (I'm diabetic), they were more than happy to switch these for something sugar free. The bathroom was very clean. There were double sinks, a separate shower as well as a bath (with shower head attached to taps) and the toilet was tucked away in a separate nook. We always had plentiful hot water no matter what time of day. The free toiletries were very nice and were topped up every day. As we arrived after lunch we spent the rest of our day unpacking and then went down to dinner. We were AI, but be aware that you need to sign for drinks regardless although no monies will be charged. Our waiter was great, once he knew what we wanted to drink he had this set up for us every evening. You usually sit at the same table every evening but can move around for breakfast/lunch. Despite me being quite a fussy eater as I'm diabetic but also pescatarian, I found more than enough to eat for every meal and was delighted to see they had very specific vegan dishes too. Lots of fresh fruit available as well as very delicious looking desserts - my husband sampled these and liked them. For breakfast they had pancakes, huge doughnut type things that the chef makes fresh for you - my husband loved them - waffles, eggs, sausages (no pork obviously), lots of pastries (the bread is to die for), traditional continental breakfast cheeses etc and various other things hot and cold. My partner and I have just returned after a one week stay at oceana , we were there to celebrate his 50th birthday I was a bit worried when I found out the hotel wasn’t a TUI blue as it was when I booked it, I need not have worried , we were greeted by the hotel manager who was super friendly, we were given a welcome drink which was great as it was so hot, I had messaged the hotel to upgrade our room to a sea view , it was so worth it , the room was very spacious and clean and the view was incredible, the pool area was very chilled and the staff at the pool bar was very helpful and incredibly hard working , the guys in the lobby bar was amazing! Fantastic drinks they were very knowledgeable and great fun especially makrahm ( I’ve probably spelt his name totally wrong! ) the food in the main restaurant was very varied , something for everyone and the staff again were great! Last but not least the lady on reception was the nicest person! So friendly and always had a smile if I had any criticisms about this hotel it would be that the beach bar doesn’t open until June and the adult only area pool needs some attention, staff were organising what looked like a new outdoor restaurant or bar which would be fantastic! We had an amazing stay at oceana the beach pool and grounds are tended to do well , the jewel in its crown tho are it’s amazing staff team , we will definitely return to this hotel

we had a fabulous time in the hotel it is such a relaxing atmosphere with fantastic staff Ali is an exceptional person in the gym and swimming pool he went above and beyond for the guests he is definitely an asset to your hotel along with many more of your staff hopefully we will see you all next year x

Just a beautiful hotel and wonderful staff. The food was amazing and fresh with great choice. We had one night at the set menu restaurant and it was lovely. Breakfast was amazing with a guy on the egg station ready to cook them however you like and even omelettes. Fresh pastries and cakes and salad. Cereal and toast and my favourite fresh hot doughnuts and pancakes. There was a choice of hot food like tomatoes, potatoes and frankfurters. Freshly squeezed orange and coffee machine. Evening meal was a surprise every night. Roast turkey once, pasta cooked to order and grilled fish. Potatoes sauteed or mashed and of course chips. Soup for starters with fresh bread. Beautiful fresh salad with every sauce needed. Not forgetting the French patisserie choice and ice cream. There was x2 Huge pools and when we went to the Relaxing infinity pool there was hardly anyone there. Plenty of sun loungers and free towels. There was the pool bar and café and a beach bar that both had lovely cocktails, tea and coffee and soft drinks. We were half board and we just signed for anything we drank or ate at lunch and paid at the end of the holiday by Visa card. We came with Stirling and they change it to TD at reception and we had quiet a bit left which we put towards our final bill. No tipping was necessary but it was nice to give a little to the room maid, bar staff and outside staff as they work so hard and are so nice and friendly. The room was massive and I was sharing with my sister and mum so they added an extra bed in the room. We had a big balcony with a table and a walk in wardrobe with tea/coffee facilities and a mini bar/fridge. We brought our own coffee and tea and just asked for a jug of milk at the pool bar. You don’t really have to go out of the grounds as there was a mini market and a clothes shop and jewellery store too. The beach was very nice although there’s an awkward ridge of sand when trying to get out of the sea! The temperature was a fabulous 26°-30°c It was just the holiday we needed and so relaxing and not much noise in the day and beautiful jazz music in the bar at night.
