This Atour hotel turned out to be a great find. In truth it was booked accidentally due to a user error during location selection. It is conveniently located near to the Xi’an South Gate and good access to food.
The room was clean with crisp linens and comfortable beds and pillows.
Shower and bathroom facilities were great with ample hot water and powerful shower heads.
The room was smoke free though we had to swap the first offering because the room had a lingering cigarette smoke smell. Typical for China, a non-smoking room is a just a suggestion to some clientele. There were occasional whiffs of smoke near the elevators.
Breakfast had variety of tasty offerings that changed daily. Coffee was good. Tea service could be improved with hotter water the implementation of tea pots with tea strainers.
Laundry room was excellent. Lots of space and the staff helps to keep the flow of laundry moving. The dryers are a bit slow. They usually require about 1:45 to completely dry a full load.
The general layout of the hotel is quite nice with some modern touches.
Couple transportation items to note. Location of hotel may be noisy because of night time entertainment in front of the hotel. The hotel is between subway stops but closer to a bus stop.

Exceptional Stay by the South Gate, unbeatable location & comfort
This hotel offers one of the best locations in the city, right in front of the famous South Gate and ancient city wall. It's surrounded by countless restaurants and sits beside the museum, making it perfect for travelers who want to explore on foot. Major historical sites and scenic spots are all within walking distance.
Rooms are exceptionally clean and well maintained. The hotel uses its own brand of pillows, mattresses, and sheets, ensuring top-tier sleep comfort.
Some rooms and the restaurant offer stunning views directly facing the city wall; a truly experience.
While the hotel’s breakfast is decent, the area is packed with dining choices to suit every taste. Coffee shops beside the hotel
Considering the location, cleanliness, and sleep quality, this hotel is easily one of the best deals in town.Highly recommended hotel

Excellent service! I stayed three days with them and was pleasantly surprised by the extent of their service.
1. Extended checkout till 3pm.
2. Free arranged breakfast takeout for when I had to go for my tour before their breakfast timing started.
3. Free laundry service. They even have a full-time laundry staff to help with not just washing and drying (with hot and cold air options), but even delivery to my room! Although there was a hiccup with the laundry not done when I had come back, the service recovery was good. The receptionist helped to personally wash, dry and deliver it overnight for me, assuring me that I'll see my clothes at my door the before 7am the next day.
4. Airport transfer service (by another company) right beside their reception. This service was also excellent; they helped me to book a cab to the airport on the same morning. And it only cost 30yuan.
5. Lost and delivered. I left a shirt behind and had flown to Guangzhou by the time I realised. Upon calling them that night, they used an express courier to send the shirt to my next hotel, ensuring it arrived within 2 days as I would have left the country after that.

Staycation - Last Weekend of Holiday - Shopping Mall and Market, local frame shop, visiting the South Street located Western, *******, and Whiskey Lounges, Shopping Anju Alley and Walking around the Xi’an City Wall streets. Easy trek for locals and tourists. I grabbed a Tuk Tuk driver to do errands in between. Great Breakfast and Views from various locations in the hotel. Good price and late checkout. I slept well !!

Always one of the best. Atour never fails to disappoint. Only issue was too many Atour nearby and I walked to the wrong one but they promptly corrected me and everything was fine.

i booked for two nights,. The first night in the morning i got my room to smell the smoke like someone was smoking. I specifically booked a non-smoking room, apparently this hotel is not equipped with a smoke detector room that lets other guests who are non smokers get affected. they change to my room another one, but there is faulty is their air-conditioning system which made me sweaty, i asked then to check and fixed air-conditioning. i informed them that my stay on 21 sep till 20.00 only. they offered gift and proactively asking me how was my stay

Everything about this place made our stay better. Great service at the front desk, wonderful and comfortable rooms and beds, big showers with great water pressure, and lots of water. Thank you ATour for making our stay in Xi’an so nice.

Best place to stay if you want visit the city. They have a great buffet and the staff is really nice, they upgrade our reservation. The restaurant is on the rooftop so you can see the wall.
