Premier Inns are a pretty safe bet, and this one is too. What stood out by a mile however, was the shift Manager. Unfortunately I didn't get his name, but he was working on the 28th of December 2024. He saw that we had a problem and without us having to ask, he offered his services. He went way beyond what I could have asked him to do. I won't bore you with the details, but if you're reading this, Whitbread, keep tabs on this one, you need to keep him.

We stayed close to a month in this hotel. The staff were brilliant and accommodated all the needs of my young family! The cooked breakfast was great and was good value for money. The room service were kind to freshen up room and linens as and when we needed them.

They messed up my booking and I did not get the connecting rooms they agreed to over the phone. I had to wait for at least 10 people checking in after me -before they got back to me as I waited for them to rectify their booking mistake- which they could not. I paid for the food deal but they were not aware of that either and wanted to charge me again for dinner. I was asked about 6 times what room I was in as if they were trying to make sure the food I ate with my children was included. The food was kind of ok- but there was no milk for for cereal, no decaf in the hot drinks machine - that was out of service on the second morning and no pastries even though we were meant to be having a 'continental' breakfast. The fruit was clearly defrosted red berries and just slopped in a bowl and no yogurt! The 'nacho's' were cheap dry tortilla crisps with a bit of plastic squeezy artificial cheese over the top- no salsa, guacamole or anything else as advertised. The shower was good and hot but not sure if it was worth the hundreds of pounds I paid for the experience. I would not recommend staying here unless you have no choice.

Located centrally but only looks good on the outside. No parking available. Only a drop off point. Parking is just across in the shopping mall. We checked in late evening and the self checkin machines were not working. The only guy at the reception was also doubling up as restaurant manager. So whilst he saw us waiting he took much longer to come and attend to us. We got a room which had a connecting door to another room. Whilst it was locked this just meant that there was no sound proofing from the adjoining room. After dropping our luggage in the room we went to the restaurant for dinner. Now the guy was busy at reception and didn’t have time to take our order. Eventually the chef called us over and took our order. By the time it got ready the manager came over to enter it in the system. I think the guy was new or overwhelmed or both because he couldn’t even handle the POS system properly. Given the experience for dinner we went elsewhere for breakfast. If you get another option please choose that one as this hotel is not worth it.
