Planned a family trip that was derailed by weather. I am a Diamond member and checked into the hotel online. Our flight that was supposed to leave at 6pm was cancelled at 11:51 pm. I called the airline first trying to rebook, which did not happen, and this hotel next at 1:11 am. I told them I had checked in online but would not be able to make the trip. I had used points and money to book the room. I asked for a full refund. They refused because I had checked in online. I was told I would be charged for one night and the points refunded. Four days later, no points and no refund. No phone call. No return emails. Nothing. Plenty other hotels that want your business who appreciate loyaly.
