The room was on a corner and quite spacious. It had a small opening window overlooking a shady tree, and - despite it being summer (albeit not the hottest of days) and having no air-conditioning – remained at a comfortable temperature. The room itself was in a good condition, with the standard Premier Inn décor, and provided all the basics (including good-sized TV and tea/coffee making things) that is usual for this brand. Most importantly, everything in the room and bathroom seemed clean. The soft furnishings were in good condition, and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had the standard Premier Inn arrangement of a fixed shower head over a bath, with a shower curtain. However, although the bathroom was clean, it was in a rather poor state of repair/decoration (mould/damp, peeling paint, rusty fittings, noisy & probably ineffective extractor fan). We didn’t eat here on this occasion, so I can’t comment on the meals. It is easy to collect extra provisions (tea bags, coffee sachets, milk) from reception. Car parking space was plentiful. We had chosen this hotel because it was very convenient location for where we needed to be, and it certainly did the job for a comfortable one-night stay. It wasn’t a particularly cheap stay - but it was a Saturday night and we had needed to book at a flexible (cancellable) rate, both factors which push up the prices of all hotels. Given that, I think it provided acceptable value.
