Applegarth Villa Hotel & Restaurant (Adult Only)

Perfect restaurant for celebrating my anniversary, great views whilst eating a perfect dinner. The staff were very friendly, service & atmosphere was so relaxed we thoroughly enjoyed our visit The menu had few items on it but was perfect selections to choose from. I had the trout followed by the cod which was amazing, my husband had crab cake followed by the lamb which he said was just perfectly cooked One of the best panna cotta I have ever eaten so never take this off menu as its worth coming back for My husband had cheesecake which he struggled to eat as the base was extremely hard, never had one like that before so maybe could do with softening up a bit for the future. We also enjoyed a cheeseboard after which had a great selection of cheeses & would recommend to anyone

Stayed at applegarth hotel and villa for a 1 night stay.... from the moment we arrived it was the most amazing experience.. We where greated by a gentleman who was so calming and friendly. He explained the timings of meal times in the restaurant and the bar timings. We got our key to our room ( the great how suite ) we had our own private entrance. Opening the door we where greeted with the most beautiful room. The decor was to a high standard. The suite we stayed in was on two levels. The hot tub was ready to enjoy straight away with a good size patio area. Up the stairs to the bedroom and another balcony 😌 the bathroom had a spa jet bath with a tv on the wall.. the complimentary bath and shower products where nice. Fluffy towels and bath robes. Me and my husband had the best night sleep we have ever had in a hotel. The mood lighting made our evening feel so relaxed. Breakfast was outstanding. This was the first time we have ever stayed in the lakes, and it will definitely not be the last. We are already planning another stay at applegarth. The gentleman on reception went above and beyond to help us to have a good experience of windermere and gave us some good recommendations of where to visit. Check out was very smooth handed the key back very reluctantly as I could of stayed there forever. Thank you applegarth I've returned home feeling so relaxed.

Just arrived back from a three night stay at the Applegarth Villa. We stayed in the Broadcrag suite with hot tub. Absolute luxury. We received a nice friendly welcome on arrival were shown to our room where everything was fully explained from the coffee machine to using the suites excellent lighting system. Even fresh milk in a fridge for tea and coffee instead of those horrible long life pods you usually get. We dined in the hotel restaurant on the first evening the food was excellent and we couldn’t resist having three courses each and then a couple of drinks in a very nicely decorated bar. A very good breakfast was provided each morning with a good choice. The service from all staff at the premises was first class. The hotel is in an excellent location for visiting the Windermere area. I look forward to making a return visit.
